Port flogs keep going on about some Elspeth person. From what I can gather she works for Channel 7? What did she do, shit in their cornflakes or something?

Kane of course leads with Walker and his ‘embarrassing effort’.....

She wore a Crows scarf once. It fit's the narrative that everyone is against them, and that it's somebody else's fault.

i think that is such a bad idea. half of why teams go down is culture. why bring in a losing culture to this team. and who even says these players will be 'fresh' for next year. they have a preseason every year. theyre just going to be one year older.

Agree totally. Never give up, never give in.

Does anyone think Sydney thought this way when they were 0-6 last year and lost to Carlton of all sides?

As a member I would be seriously pissed off if you gave up a season? That is for losers!

Rowie basically just accused the woman making claims against SPP that she’s a liar and in it for the money. He’s lost all sense of ethics to ensure he keeps getting paid by Port....ahem I mean AA.
Heard that ...
" no case to answer"

****ing idiot he is

It's funny, the AFL Shouter guy at the moment is talking about how he gets Port fans going "OMG, YOU BIASED CROW FLOG, WHAT ABOUT JENKINS!!!!1!!" anytime he mentions Port Adelaide and how they are the only fanbase who does this. As someone else said, many of them actually have the Crows performing badly as a higher priority than Port Adelaide doing well.

I think most here are fine with what you’ve written considering the current position the team is at... but are just saying that come the bye this year if we are 6 and 6, and our injury list is looking not much better than what it is now, it might be a wise move to tank so to speak..

So the plan would be;
-Play all the youth in the second half of the season
-rest up all the older players such as Betts, tex, talia (although, he’s still pretty young really) etc. rotate them every second week.
-Get brad crouch right for next year
-Get brodie Smith right for next year
-get games into greenwood, fog and others to build their tanks
-move Douglas, Mackay, CEY, Otten, Cheney, and any other guys past their used by date out of the team.. JJ too depending on how many he kicks this season.
-force a trade with Sloane and trade lynch and hopefully net a first rounder for each.
-refresh the list with 5 future guns from this years super draft.
-if Gallucci can’t prove himself by the end of the year.. swap him for Francis at Essendon... push it as a straight swap of two first rounders that just haven’t worked for either club.

So next season we come back refreshed and replenished with some games under the belts of our youth/depth. We’d also have a soft draw next season.

But like I said... let’s just wait and see what happens over the next six to eight weeks.. we will probably lose this week but could easily win most of the next 7... could end up being 9-3 by the half way mark.

"A wise move to tank"?

Out of the rubbish you can post, this is the rubbishiest of the rubbishest.

“I think people like kicking them to death” - Robbo on AFL360 talking about the media reaction to the Crows

Great that someone finally said it. That’s two episodes in a row where Robbo’s said something cogent.
He's had his cracks at us before but he has genuine affinity for our playing group, so when he has a crack it's generally warranted.

Guys like Sam McClure, Jay Clark and Barrett are just sensationalists

That’s your opinion... you’re welcome to it as I am welcome to mine..

I’m just saying if we’re 6-6 or worse at the halfway mark of the season and have just as many of our top players injured as we do now we’ll struggle to make it very far in the finals if we do make it.

So best to consentrate on next year... get some good afl game time into our young up and coming players, who have been starved of opportunity in the past two years, so we might finally build some depth that we can count on.. and get a few good draft picks and an easier draw next season..

You may think this is the “rubbishest of rubbishest” thing to say but that’s just your opinion. Not that you backed it up with anything substantial as to why you hold that opinion..

Highlighting that you think tanking is a wise move is all the substantiation any rational human could need.

In my opinion :)

Alright... maybe I shouldn’t have used the tank word... but essentially all I am saying is come the bye in the middle of the season if things look grim.... maybe we just start getting afl games into guys like poholke, Davis, gooch, ROB, Wilson, jarman, Himmelberg etc etc... and if I’m doing so we lose a few games so be it... atleast they’ll get some experience into these lads.

The reason we’re currently struggling is because so many of our best players are out injured or playing injured or underdone and we’ve got no guys with afl experience to cover them with.. this won’t change next year unless we find some afl game time for these younger lads this bloody year.

Losing is not the aim the aim is to Build a deeper list, get games into the youth and rest the flogged our injured senior players when finals are not possible. Losing might not be the result. It’s called strategic planning, for the following year and beyond.
