Their sideways chipping is so frustrating to watch.

Their midfield with Wines, Rockliff and SPP will be badly exposed against the better/faster teams.
I remember going to a lot of Lions games in 10 & 11 and they were doing the exact same thing back then. Crazy Vossy seems to be having a lot more influence at that club than most Port fans would like to admit to. That game style is awful to watch and if you don't have a bunch of genuinely elite kicks in the side to cut teams open, it's never going to work. If today is anything to go by, Port have gone back in time 10 years with their game plan. And how any Port fan actually thought that Watts was going to come in and play the Tom Lynch role is truly beyond me. Try watching footy before making such ludicrous claims.

From the Shuey board:

Disappointing the racist port Adelaide supporter at the ground calling our Sudanese WCE supporters
the N word.
Wtf?!

You would think they would have learnt by now...

Lever is a good player, we all know that.

What other supporters don't seem to understand - are his weaknesses.

Same thing happened with Dangerfield. Geelong supporters thought he was a lot of things he was not ... great kick being the most obvious. It takes a while to get to know both sides of a player.

We probably do the opposite at Adelaide .. .we assume they are worse than they looked on TV and we over-paid and got smashed in the trade. ie Gibbs. Lots of people will say they thought Gibbs was soft, or couldn't tackle, or was weak in the air ... and are surprised at how well rounded he is as a footballer.

Look at Sloane - I'm betting we would all agree on his weaknesses. His attempts at 'clever' field kicks can be misplaced, he is not that quick, he doesn't handle a tag very well. Still one of the best players in the league, but they all have downsides.

I remember some hilarious posts in here from Cats supporters during Danger's first preseason with them. His kicking wasn't going to be an issue at Geelong because they had higher standards and Cats coaches and senior players wouldn't accept poor kicking, like we were some sort of amateur bush league outfit. There may even have been some mainstream media articles along similar lines?

Any attempts to point out that while he was an elite player with many talents, kicking wasn't among them was passed off as bitterness. Quite funny in hindsight.

Listening to Nick Reiwoldt tonight and seriously I wonder how much these past champions know about the rest of the AFL.

Rattled off McKenzie, Trengove and Thomas says Port have depth and bat deep. WTF they are all finished.

If Port cop more than 4 injuries they are ******. Who did they have missing? Rockliff, S Gray, Broadbent and Wingard?

To be fair, they've been missing a head coach for a while.

I just realised the history made today.

Joke Watts, Stephen Fatlop and Diver Thomas were in the one team.

Imagine telling a Tealster at the end of 2014 by 2018 those three would be in their team. You would be belted IRL and carded by Ford on the Port board.

And yet in 2018 they are boasting about how great it was to recruit those three......

I wonder how Janus would be feeling? Spent 3 months talking himself into believing Port would be premiers and one practice game and it’s the same Port with a worse game plan.
You obviously don't Janus. The shitness is always part of a bigger picture.

"We were shit on purpose because...." And "next time we'll win because...." And "ultimately it's all part of the grand premiship plan, you'll see".

A racism storm has marred today’s JLT Community Series match between West Coast and Port Adelaide and led to two groups of supporters being separated after the final siren.

Fans clashed in the grandstand at Leederville Oval after one man allegedly described a group of supporters as “n----s”.

An AFL spokesman said the league would be searching through broadcast vision to identify the fan after he quickly left the ground before he could be apprehended by security. The spokesman said the league took a zero tolerance approach to racism.

The man’s Port Adelaide-supporting friends apologised for his behaviour, yelling to the crowd that it should not have happened in an attempt to calm people down.
