I was just about to post that I don't get the Zac love. Average player who would not make us a better team if he played for us.
I find his ball use creative, and he seems to know where to go to find it. He’s still a bit of a rag doll and doesn’t have the power to push through congestion, but he tries to move the ball in a positive fashion, rather than dinky hand balls, if that makes sense?

His kicking is very precise too.

I was hoping the Pies would beat them by 6+ goals to shut up all the Vic media fapping on about Carlton. They are still ordinary. Sure there is talent but they have only a handful of players who are actually good now. Shipping 100pts to a Pies team missing Elliot, Fasolo, Wells and Moore is just woeful.

Amazing draft this one coming and by the looks of it we won’t have a top four pick...
Probably won't and if Freo did then there would be serious question marks over the club. Carlton have finished bottom 4 for a while and they still can't climb the ladder.

I'd rather form a wining culture

Was alright against St Kilda in JLT and over the first two rounds he showed some good explosiveness from packs. Little things early in his career that would have blues fans excited.
They honestly wouldn’t be. Again - all of Brayshaw, Banfield and Cerra have shown a lot more. In Cerra’s case in just one game.

You have to expect top 10 draft picks will be under a lot of scrutiny. We have two of the best 5 thus far. Rayner, Dow and LDU have all been struggling to varying degrees despite being top 4 picks.

Carlton definitely do have some very good young talent(certainly on draft number and junior CV)....more than a few teams down the bottom but yeah they really seem to be struggling atm, both individually and as a team.

Their situation has got a real touch of the melbournes about it atm(which if yourcarlton fan would be rather worrying as we're essentially STILL waiting for melbourne themselves to arrive and they're far more advanced in terms of experience and talent available.

Agree on fisher, think he ll be star and could well end up a more accomplished footballer than some of their more highly touted picks.

With that said If the footy gods do have any honour about them ,they ll ensure carlton do remain in a melbourne like (or really just stay in their carlton state ) of utter shitness for another decade ,at least...oh and we take fisher off them in a lopsided trade similar to the weller one

Agree to disagree. Thought LDU was pretty good last week personally.

Great to see Michael Christian has another decision to make tomorrow. Integrity of his position versus getting another Pies player off.

Grundy got off. Will Sidebottom?

If they are consistent he will on this one. They penalise the outcome and Fisher played on. If he was concussed Sidebottom was gawn.

How many former GWS players played for carlton tonight. Have any of them really kicked on.
Marchbank is good normally.

For a team dripping in first round talent, they’re so damn beige.

Just “nothing”. Weitering is struggling badly. Devoid of confidence and basic skill.
SPS doesn’t get enough ball and his possession lacks hurt.

I really like Zac Fisher though. Guy has a third eye for where the ball should go
Weitering is a perplexing one. Early last year he looked very good both forward and back but has dropped off the edge this season. I understand he is playing VFL so injury is not it. Fitness, attitude or something else is going on?

Completely agree... and at the same time have never seen a highlights package as good as that mid... forget his name but my god he is good.

The top 10 this year is such that someone as freakish as iHill could go as late as 10. Could also see one of the Kings sliding to around there given the number of top 5 KPP flops lately.

Playing a final and getting pick 11 would be an amazing result for us this year.

Had a read of the Carlton board. Is a good look into what happens when half your team has played less than 30 games - you suck. They'd kill for some foot soldiers like Sutty or Sherro because theirs are much worse.

He may not go pick 1

Top 3 yes

For Freo to finish last with some very weak clubs this year would be a disaster
Can't see us finishing last and even more so I can't see us not taking Lukosius or MKing if we do (based on performance to date). That is unless the club rates Hugh as high as BF does.

Carlton are rubbish and Dogs look like they don't give a ****. Obviously the latter can turn around quickly but I think the former is fairly set. I haven's seen the Lions play yet but I suspect they are still pretty bad too.

15th absolute worst based on what I have seen so far.

And that would net us an epic player if chosen wisely

Recycled players for Carlton

E.Curnow (Adelaide)
Docherty (Brisbane)
Garlett (Gold Coast)
Jones (Bulldogs)
Kennedy (GWS)
Kerridge (Adelaide)
Lamb (Sydney/GWS)
Lang (Geelong)
Lobbe (Port)
Marchbank (GWS)
Mullett (North)
O’Shea (Port)
Phillips (GWS)
Pickett (GWS)
Plowman (GWS)
Rowe (Sydney)
Shaw (Gold Coast)
A.Silvagni (Fremantle)
Thomas (Collingwood)
Wright (Adelaide)

From last year

Gorringe (Gold Coast)
Jaksch (GWS)
Palmer (Fremantle/GWS)
Smedts (Geelong)
Sumner (GWS)

I’m not denying there’s some very good players there but isn’t that just far too many. The fact they delisted five recycled players last year tells you something imo. There’s still a few very average recycled players on their list meanwhile two clubs have decided Billy Gowers (Bulldogs) and Nick Holman (Gold Coast) who Carlton delisted are worth not only list spots but games.

Why do Carlton get Multiple Friday night games , I am getting sick of watching this very average side on prime time . They have lost there last 10 Friday night games by an average of 10 goals . PLEASE EXPLAIN !!! We got Friday night games once a year even when we were good .Now we suck we get none. And they get to open the season :straining:
