Also worth a reminder that in Menegolas first year with Geelong he didn’t get a game until very late in the season and even then only because they’d been decimated by injury. So even Geelong didn’t know how good Sam was.

It’s just occurred to me
I hate Geelong more than West Coast
But i don't work with a heap of arrogant, entitled knobhead Geelong supporters. Even though i despise Geelong its for an enjoyable workplace i hope the Eagles lose.

Lol
Pre-season I tipped the Cats to win the flag.
If they can’t beat the worst midfield in the league, they are wayyy off.
Only positive is I don’t work with any west coast flogs over here in Melbourne

Keep wondering where the Cats list would be without the trades they have done - most of which have fallen right into their laps.

Ablett, Dangerfield, Henderson (who didn’t play today) and Tuohy come to mind straight away. All along with Taylor, Hawkins and Selwood are 29 or older this year. The only “kids” that have seemed to come on in the last couple of years are mature agers like Menegola, Kelly and Stewart who were all basically ready to go straight away.

Very worrying unless they can develop a few kids in the next few years but they’ll probably stay up (with next to no chance of winning the flag) by recruiting big name players to paint over the widening cracks.
