I agree I think we can cut through the web in the middle. That's not my worry. My worry is that kick into the inside 50, where Hurn, McGovern, Barass, Sheppard and 2 or three midfielders have shuffled back to fill in holes.
Midfielders can't plug holes in their defensive 50 if we move the ball quickly

Z Guthrie and that new fella Geelong rolled out are terrible. Z Guthrie looks like he wants to ask the opposition for permission before he does anything.

The other guy just looks out of his depth at the minute. He may adjust.

Plus they have no defence
I thought Sheppard was fantastic again, this bloke isn't talked up much but is crucial to their defence. Unbelievable
overhead for his size and tough.
Port last year at Subi showed how to defeat the coasters, same with the Hawks style of play, control possession, short
kicks into space.

Does having a terrible midfield actually help the eGirls?
By having their oppo kick blindly into a forward line after a centre stoppage play into the hands of their intercept markers?

Do you mean Fogarty, Henry, Parfitt or Ratagulea? They have a few young players coming through..

Sheppard has taken a long time to become a good (but not great) player. Same draft year as Fyfe and taken at pick 7. I am just glad the Egos didn't grab Fyfe with that pick.

Yeah he's good. Could have given away a couple of free kicks coming 3rd man in though imo
They did take him before Fyfe though:)

Is anyone concerned regarding NicNats new tackling technique? He seems to be pole driving players into the turf. He completely rolled a player ass over head against Sydney and did the same against Geelong. It looks destined for a catasphrophic neck injury. I don’t remember him doing that pre-knee. He semi lifts them then drives strongly into the turf often resulting in both players rolling. Anyone else noticed?

Not confident but will try our best with Barlow and Bowes combo.
I'll be tipping the Weagles but I could see the Suns getting the win. The Eagles are a very different team when Nic Nat dominates the ruck and Shuey gets clean clearances. The two games they have won have come against teams with poor ruckmen, and that should be different against Jarrod Witts, who I rate highly despite being beaten by Sandi on Saturday. If Witts breaks even in the ruck and Aaron Hall gives them run and carry, they have a chance. It's a shame for the Suns' sake that Hanley and Wright are injured, but they're helped by the potential loss of Ryan and Kennedy.

Yeah, I have thought this too.

Do they call it a spear tackle? Just front on

Full body slamming them. Actually looks awesome. Looks dangerous with his weight, but not sure. I mean if Duman did the same no one would be worried.

Now that he has done it twice there will be a professional flop about it now.

You saw the sort of thing on the weekend when a player stayed down after their shoulder hit the ground hard in a tackle, making it look like a dangerous tackle, for a free kick right by the boundary deep forward.

It’s the rolling motion after that makes me nervous. The slam is nothing, it’s the roll with a players arms pinned. Nothing protecting the neck being twisted in an awkward fashion.

still angry 'cause he broke up with his GF? Our players fight bouncers to get over the ex.

Even in rugby that is an illegal tackle, due to the dangers of a neck injury. AFL is a joke when Sandi hits someone with
a bump, and there is no injury to the head, yet NN is taking out guys half his size grid iron style.
