    68. South Africa also lost 9 wickets in 68 deliveries that day :D.

So you're telling me it wasn't exactly a boring day of cricket? :)

I'm just thankful we scored another 6 runs to get past NZ's 26 - we never would have lived it down!!!

What is going on with Ross Taylor at the moment? This is twice in a row he has gone out extremely cheaply in the first innings of a test match, even when conditions are supposed to be most favourable for batting in UAE at this point in a match.

A good recovery from Williamson and Watling after it looked like NZ might struggle to get to 200.

He's one of those batsmen that can get out cheaply before he gets set and he's also getting on in years so his reflexes may not be as sharp as they used to be.

The ball he got out to was on a good length but didn't get above ankle height. He was pretty stiff to get it first up.

Watling's patience is something to behold.

Also, Will Somerville has a test cap. How on earth did that happen? He hasn't played and FC match since 2017 according to Cricinfo

Still no wickets today for NZ, Pakistan look set to build a formidable first innings lead now.

Somerville with 4 wickets. Pakistan lose 7/60 odd after reaching 3/280. Been a good series to watch.

Somerville looked about as threatening as Mark Craig for most of that innings. How the hell did he get four

Mark Craig got 7 in an innings on NZ's last tour of the UAE.

NZ did well to restrict that to a manageable lead after it looked like it could've been well over 100.

They will still need to put at least 250 on the board in their 2nd innings to be in with a shot of winning.

The partnership from Williamson and Nicholls has got NZ back in the game but they need at least another hundred runs to set Pakistan a challenging target.

Williamson just looks effortless in everything that he does.

Nicholls making tough runs again. Bit like Bavuma, doesn't pad his stats in easy situations, but often makes a gutsy 50 when it's necessary.

The cricketing world would be a much poorer place without having Kane Williamson, no hyperbole.
