There are three or four players I'd like at this pick. I'll go with the one who's least likely to make it through to my next pick. Plus he probably should be off the board at this point.

Pick 38: St Kilda--Zac Butters
Very skinny, but he's a very effective player with a bit of x factor about him, and continues to help me with my mission to add some character and flair to a very boring Saints list.

Butters reminds me of a young Marc Murphy, but probably lacks the proven and consistent ability to play midfield that Marc had. He's not a speed demon but he has good burst speed and evasiveness that buys him time. He has excellent vision and seems a good user of the ball.
Steal of the Century.

Pick 44: Bid - Kieren Briggs 200cm 98kg, 6/10/99, Pennant Hills/NSW (GWS Academy) Ruck

Easily the best ruck at the U18 Nationals. Does everything and more that you'd hope from a ruck including tackling and smothering. Also knows exactly what he's doing when resting in a forward pocket.

Over to you Coona Blues
The Giants have been amazed that this bid took so long, we absolutely match the bid for the best young ruck
in the draft. Overaged and along with Lynch will form the nucleus of the Giants ruck division in the near future.
Pure conjecture how long the combination of a returning Mumford and the ageing year for year contracted Simpson
can carry the Giants rucks.

So am I tbh.

Dockers could also do with a 3rd tall defender, but I suspect HARKER will have him well covered. Half a nick this far out.

Pick 45 Bid: Will Kelly 193cm 83kg, 18/8/2000, Oakleigh Chargers/Vic Metro (Father/Son Collingwood)

Good all-round tall defender with lots of upside that will help bolster the Dockers defence.

Have to take him.
This is fun. :)

Jimmae hasn't the selections up to date, but I feel my points may push me put out of the next selection.

That swaps out picks 48 and 86 for 44 and 61.

Turns 53 and 103 into 45 and 66.

For the record, I would have taken Will Kelly over Kyle Reid, but he will be bid on (and accepted) much earlier.

Pick 49 - Geelong - Jack Ross

Another dynamic inside midfield prospect in this draft range, though he's been resigned to TAC and school footy this year due to his perceived endurance issues putting him behind the Metro pegging order.

If he gets this right, he could surprise, as he is an excellent user of the footy when offered the slightest bit of space. Could go earlier on draft night if his issues are deemed easily fixable, as at 86 kg, he's otherwise ready to go.
