So new numbers for :-

Matthew Kennedy
Matthew Lobbe
Darcy Lang
Aaron Mullett
Cillian McDaid
Paddy Dow
Lochie O'Brien
Tom De Koning
Angus Schumacher
Jarrod Garlett
Dow just looks like he'd suit Gibbs's #4 and maybe LOB in 12 if we don't redraft BB.

My guess would be:

4 - Paddy Dow

7 - Matthew Kennedy

12 - Blaine Boekhorst / Matt Shaw (It will be one or the other)

16 - Aaron Mullett

18 - Jarrod Garlett

19 - Angus Schumacher

21 - Tom De Koning

24 - Darcy Lang

27 - ??? (Another Category B Rookie)

2 / 37 - Lochie O'Brien

43 - Matthew Lobbe

45 - Cam O'Shea (I wouldn't mind that)

47 - Cillian McDaid

I'm predicting 2 could be left untouched again. But if it were to be used, I strangely see O'Brien being the likeliest to wear it.

Vacant numbers:
2: next years unmentionable name
4: Dow
7: Kennedy
12: O'Brien
16: Lang
18: Garlett
19: De Koning
21: Schumacher
24: Mullett
27: O'Shea
37: Lobbe
43: Shaw
45 McDaid

Could do Shaw 45 and McDaid 47 if we're really opposed to Shaw wearing 43, even if it is most likely for only one or two years in the VFL.

Is 18 our most unluckiest number ? I never remember a star player wearing it . Justin Murphy is the only one I can really recall. It would seem a cursed number to wear. Let’s retire it for good.

On iPhone using BigFooty.com mobile app

The glorious recent history of Number 10 means that Harry McKay doesn't have to do much to be the best wearer in the past 40-50 years since Gags Gallagher.

Watson, Hadley, McLaren, Johnson, Martin, Mansfield, Backwell, Charles, Mitchell, James, Shine........

Think it gives 18 a good run for being cursed.....so much so I made it my username

In the latest training pics Kennedy had a top with number 26 on it. Wonder if Mcreadie is changing numbers or if Kennedy is just wearing his shirt?

Never understood why they don't just tell us the new player numbers when they're actually assigned (which almost certainly would happen the first day they enter the club). What actual advantage is there in keeping us waiting?
