Gotta feel compassion for guys like Hackenberg. I am sure most of his struggles in the NFL has been simply memorizing/understanding phonebook-thick playbooks and 10 word play-calls. More than the actual mechanics of throwing a ball to some guy running a route.
He only got 24 on the wonderlic. There you go

He struggled with that at Penn State though
Yes, but that "usually" happens because you're trying to think too much, or have too much on your mind to process that you're struggling with so panic more and make errors of judgment in actual throwing. It's seriously THE main reason why QBs struggle on the field too. The mental game.

Josh Allen surprisingly will probably start much sooner than expected...

-------------

According to ABC Buffalo's Joe Buscaglia, A.J. McCarron has been outplayed by Nathan Peterman this offseason.

McCarron has been splitting first-team reps with Peterman and Josh Allen. The Bills' quarterback competition is going to go deep into the preseason, but it's not a good sign McCarron is struggling at minicamp. McCarron's contract ($6M guaranteed; $2.9M dead money) should secure his roster spot.

I expected him to play week 1

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports the Raiders fear imminent league discipline for Martavis Bryant.

Per the Review-Journal's Michael Gehlken, Bryant's imminent discipline is believed to pertain to the NFL's substance-abuse policy. Bryant, of course, missed all of 2016 due to substance-abuse-policy violations. Gehlken confirms any further substance-abuse infraction could cost Bryant another year, or longer. With ex-broadcaster Jon Gruden replacing Reggie McKenzie at the Raiders' personnel controls, Oakland dealt the No. 79 overall pick for Bryant in late April.

Both Rosen and Allen will be starting at points next season.

Bradford will probably get injured while Allen doesn't have to beat much to get ahead.

There are always studies done on weed that show new benefits to indulging in it. They should make it legal in the NFL it's not really giving a performance edge like PEDs do......

----------

Marijuana reduces inflammation in the brain, which is very important to help heal concussions and help reduce the chance of developing CTE. If used for pain, it can also reduce opioid dependence, which can be deadly.
