Port will win both Showdowns as well. this year wouldn't have mattered if we won the flag last year. who knows.. maybe in 2036 we will get another crack

Here's something to chew on for the 2018 Pre-season predictions ... just how important is the fixture?

We are coming off a season where we had one of the toughest fixtures (in hindsight) and finished top.

Jeez, Brisbane had a really hard draw. Nice one AFL.

I like our draw actually and the only game i can almost guarantee a loss is Sydney at scg. All others are either winnable or work in our favour and get good teams at home.

In saying that I just think last year coming first will probably never happen in a while, we just had a magic season with ALOT of luck (gws loss to Carlton and Geelong draw) to get us on top.

Ross Lyon is no mug as a coach. I suspect once Sandi and Fyfe were gone for last year match results were irrelevant.

Imo he's better than both Danger and Dusty at 100% match fitness. Very few players at Freo who can consistently steal brownlow points off him as well.

Calculation: each ladder position different between where you said a team would finish, and where they actually finished, is one point. eg I said Richmond would be first, but actually they were third, so that's two points. Add that up over all the teams.
