Particularly when you said they would’ve lost last year’s Grand Final if it were in Adelaide. You weren’t beating them anywhere that day.

Also reckon you had a bit more to play for in Round 2. Your effort that day was much more flash in the pan than anything the Tigers produced.
 
Liked: Collingwood and West Coast. Timing their runs superbly.
The end of the hype surrounding Melbourne. If I didn’t know better I would have assumed that the Dees hadn’t played finals footy in 127 years. Excruciating.

Learnt: Chris Scott was on to something when he said that a lot was going to have to go right for the Tigers to win the flag this year. They are a well balanced, well structured team but clearly no world beaters.
West Coast are too often badly under appreciated. The amount of alleged experts who tipped Melbourne was staggering.

Hated: Nothing at all. Completely enjoyed both games.
 
Liked ..Optus stadium is cauldron.....it’s like gladiator the movie ....Melbourne got killed like the gladiator film ...first time there was unbelievable...I’ve seen big games at mcg and Optus is way way louder ....

Learned ....dusty is so important to tigers ...they are screwed without him

Hated ...dumb Victorian commentators who think des headland and Scott Chisholm plated for west coast ...they were Freo players you idiots

Whenever there was a hardball that was 50/50 or even to the tigers advantage, Bear just kept ripping it out, standing up through the tackle and dishing it out. Adds so much depth and a whole different dimension to our midfield.
 
Liked: an upset bundling our grand final enemies out of the race. Nothing like a good finals upset and I was sick of Richmond being such obvious favourites. A bit of schadenfreude is an essential part of football passion.

Mason Cox - absolutely love seeing someone taking multiple contested grabs in a final. As one podcaster said, there's something really funny about getting beaten and dominated by a guy who hadn't even heard of the sport five years ago.

Hated: Seeing Melbourne go down without a fight. I spent the last three quarters just reading the Bigfooty thread with the match on in the background.

Learnt: Both the Pies and Eagles are extremely determimed to stamp their authority and seize this premiership with both hands. Both will be hard to beat, but there can be only one winner. Unlike Collingwood's last premiership, there will will be no draws or replays. Both sides have already proven critics wrong but only one will really stick it up the doubters.

Learnt: Nothing that most Collingwood supporters didn’t already know. Anyone watching earlier matches (except for Richmond supporters) between Pies vs Tigers could see that Collingwood could easily match it with Richmond and that they only kicked away once Collingwood suffered multiple in-game injuries on both occasions. What happens when it’s 22 vs 22 for the whole game? Easy win to the Pies.

Have to feel sorry for the eagles fans watching the seven coverage with such biased commentators instructed by thier producer to call the game that way. This was one of the eagles most complete performances and ruined by channel seven. It was treat watching them play. Against collingwood the commentators dribbled on about how good Kennedy's opponent was like he was some hero. Yet fast forward to the next eagles game and the same people are saying how rusty Kennedy was in his first week back.


Weve heard for awhile that richmond are in trouble if Martin doesn't fire. We've heard how they rely on a soft draw and the g home ground advantage.

Martin was injured and collingwood made them look second rate

We also heard how good they are and Taylor calls it a shock defeat to the best team in the league. Yet this best team in the league can't win outside of Victoria.

The tigers built a house of straw

We saw Melbourne use the corridor and get burnt by not handling the pressure they are supposedly renowned for. More inside fifties and biased umps and they lose by eleven goals

We saw Niel jetta and rioli bring an instinct and awareness of eachother that cut Melbourne up when the game was to be won.

We saw Rance shown up one on one again. It's ironic Richmond defeated by a one hit september wonder. Richmond rivalling footscray as the kings of one hit wonders in September

The umpiring feeling sorry for poor Melbourne in thier first major final in eighteen years. Perhaps if they didn't sell home games to avoid insolvency they not might of been so tired.

We made a prelim ffs. If we drop out of the 8 next year, maybe its called for, but we're still clearly one of the best sides in the league and incredibly well placed to go again. How does that constitute a 'one hit wonder'?

But adelaide would have smashed them at home


Both teams were equally s**t all year away from home - to the point that if they met at a neutral venue they would have figured a way to both lose.
