After changing countless times again. I've come to this team, and it's probably 95% what my Round 1 team will look like.
Unsure on Marchbank though atm. If by Round 1 I don't feel confident with him, then i'll probably downgrade him to a rookie, then EITHER upgrade Bundy -> Heeney, OR if I don't feel Lycett is up to it, Lycett ->Kreuzer/Ryder/Goldstein.
If I do Bundy -> Heeney, it means i'll have 5 keeper forwards, which means I don't have to worry about FWD rookies, as I can count the forward rookies that might play RD 1 on one hand.
Midfield is Locked.

IMO Vlastuin isn't good enough to take the D3 spot.
Great for a POD, just doesn't score highly or consistently enough. 5 scores of 60 or less last year...Yuck!
what do you expect him to average?
80-85 at a stretch.

Was carrying an injury during the first 7 games of last year. Missed 10 rounds, came back fully recovered and averaged 93 from round 17-23. 95 if you include finals.
Turns 24 this year so still has loads of improvement in him. I reckon he'll average 90+ for sure if he plays 20+ games.
Scored 91 in JLT, even though he had 5 clangers, which is a bit high for him. I think he'll be a great POD.

Likewise good game. I’m testing the waters with coniglio see how he goes brodie was in his spot prior and had burton in D4 that’s my original plan. Just playing around with it
Yeah that’s it.

I just think with hardly any def rookies showing up so far, it’s safer going a Burton type at D4. Mid rookies are everywhere lol

60/40 favouring yes. My worry is he still skinny but he got 20 touches. Tough one.
My worry is Richo doesn't have the gonads to dump Gilbert and Weller. I think that's the only way Coff and Clark get a game. I'm praying he does.

Wanted to see what a team looks like where I get in Kreuzer at the expense of taking any premium mid rookies. Only playing 5 rookies and have set and forget ruck structure.

Potential to fix by putting Hanley down to a Byrne/C.Ellis/A.Aliir type and putting the money into premium rookies. Seems good

fair enough..
IMO D4 is the spot to back breakouts(if you can call it that with Vlas). I'd put him there and upgrade Marchbank by downgrading a FWD.
3 genuine premo DEF is how I roll..
FWIW.. I hope Vlastuin gets the 90+ for ya. I like his game, just not for me in SC.:thumbsu:

I think as long as I can cover every line with at least ONE top 3 player in every position, I'll be really happy by the end of the year.

Again I've made a million more changes. Never had Lycett but I have no idea who R2 should be and the Witts and wait and see strategy worked last year. Hoping he can be a solid stop gap until the best r2 presents himself.

BF has convinced me on Sicily. He was never in my plans at all. But the dual pos will be handy af and if he can average 85-90 and play 22 games I'm more than happy having him as a F6/D6 in my completed team.

J.Lloyd not 100% convinced on but he racks them and a steady improvement gives me confidence he is a good pick.

Criticism welcome... not really. This is the best team possible :-/. In all seriousness I would appreciate input... thanks.

GAZ niggle has me way off him..
reckon we'll be lucky to see 15 games from him. hope i'm wrong. I love his bald brilliance!
Titch, Zerrett or one of the Crows boys would be a safer pick.

Alright gang, version counter has gone out the window but I feel like I am getting closer...

This leaves me with about 110k to address my admittedly light rookies when we have a little more info. Alternatively, I could mend my impending ruck trainwreck with some tweaking.

Really not sure which two of Venables, Rioli and Ryan will get the gig but again, will wait and see. I am not expecting much out of any of them but what else is out there!

Let me have it

182K in the bank, let me know what you lads/lasses think!
looks solid.
O'Mera and Armitage at M5/6 is a risk but i guess you already know that.

i'd downgrade Rayner to a standard priced rookie and use whatever cash you've got left to turn Christensen into a proper forward.

think i'm gonna wait till brissy plays sydney on saturday to see how rayner and Christensen perform, even though its preseason, playing sydney would be a pretty decent simulation going into the season proper. as for armo if he has a stinker next week i'll swap him for a rookie and take the cash.
