the media love oliver too yet call out his diving also. rance is a known flopper and diver, you can still acknowledge that and love him.

Have you noticed lately that with the spotlight on, a lot of players are getting 'noticed' for staging?

It's not that it wasn't there before, it's just that when you look for it, you find it...It's a form of confirmation bias.

BF has been saying Rance 'flops and dives', therefore people here see it....It's not that he does it more/worse than others, it's just that, on BF, people look for it. If you gave similar attention to all players, you'd find plenty that were as bad or worse.

There may be some worse, but he's one of the main culprits. Perhaps you could say: out of the main diving/flopping offenders, Rance/Oliver are the two most talented...therefore it's their high profile that gets noticed.

Unpopular opinion but not sure 19 goals at the halfway mark of the year is enough to get you the forward pocket spot for Robbie Gray.

Breust - 25, Hoskin-Elliott - 27 have probably played better as a forward pocket this year. Not better players, just better small goal kickers.

Gray doesn't really play forward pocket anyway. He plays the Martin/Dangerfield role which is almost 1 out full forward.

Yeah he will almost certainly be named HFF, not FP. Lock for on the field either way.

He is averaging 4 more disposals than any other forward who has kicked as many or more goals than him, 6 more disposals per game than any not named Hogan and is the only guy in the league to average over 20 disposals and 1.5 goals per game this year.

Gray’s got to be an AA this year no doubt. He’s not the only player going around averaging 20+ disposals and 1.5 goals this year though. Dayne Zorko is too.

100% agree, should be AA. There are really only 7 max. midfield spots so if he needs to be put at forward pocket to get him into the side i think that's fair for a bloke who is on track for a 35-40 goal season.

Uhh yes. He played well is what I was saying
Ok. Didn't pick up on sarcasm.

Only time he's really played back was first three quarters of cats game. He was pretty much missing in action. Got put into the middle in the last and turned the game.

After another 10 coaches votes this week I'm starting to think he might be deserving of AA as a mid if he keeps this form up. Didn't think that was going to happen before the season started.

Rance out on his own among KPDs in the coaches' award on 28 votes. Andrews next best on 19. He's in your team.
I still feel like Grimes and Astbury are ahead of Rance, though there is time for that to change. Rance had a couple of shockers earlier in the year. I dont think Grimes or Astbury have.

Astbury gets the most from his ability but isn't AA quality. Grimes is criminally undersold but his low disposal counts and relative lack of polish conspire against him. Will finish high in the b&f again but isn't the AA selectors' type.

To be fair there are plenty of similar level defenders who add a lot more going the other way, so he shouldn't really be in consideration for the team, plenty of more well rounded options.

B. Neville Jetta - Harris Andrews - Alex Rance

Hb. James Sicily - Jeremy McGovern - Elliot Yeo

C. Jack MacCrae - Nat Fyfe - Andrew Gaff

Hf. Shaun Higgins - Jack Darling - Josh Caddy

F. Robbie Gray - Ben Brown - Jesse Hogan

R. Brodie Grundy - Tom Mitchell - Patrick Cripps

I/c. Shannon Hurn - Tom Stewart - Max Gawn - Lachie Neale

No Treloar? The guy is an absolute lock.

Has had a massive season.

It's the world of AFL these days thanks to online forums like this. People will try and find anything to latch on to to kick a good team where they can, even if it's not really there. It's called envy.

I don't think there are many who play as tight on high-quality opponents of varying stature and skill set.
It depends on if you want to classify Sicily as a KPD as he is on 34

Was he directly opposed to Walker on Saturday?

Yeo is one of the more frustrating players in the comp. Looks like a gun one week, the next week he is MIA.
He's legit played 2 crap games this year againts Geelong or Saints.

Unless you're a fantasy football Nerd.

11th for AFLCA this year and AA half back last year.
He hasn't been Hot and Cold since 2016. Not far off from being a genuine A-Grader.

Hard to tell as the ball rarely went down there and on the occasions that it did most high bombs to a pack. Think it was mainly Burton on Walker though

He's named at CHB every week. Not entirely comfortable with it at 189cm, but I guess he could command a key position in the AA team.
