Fyfe and Mccrae prob wont make the cut both prob miss too many games same with sicily.
Mitchell ,cripps ,Oliver should be locks for starting mids.
If they play well enough in the back end they may still sneak in because recency bias.

Fyfe will struggle unless he is outstanding though, he is probably going to miss 5 games. Still think he'll be top 10 in the Brownlow along with Macrae.

Had a pretty slow start to the year, so na for me. Has played really well lately tho.

Edwards is the Tiger that I really hope gets in that most people wouldnt be considering.
I actually think we have a lot of players who haven't quite had AA-standard seasons. The consummate team.

Might get half a dozen in the squad and only a couple in the 22.

So you don't think the coaches are aware of who the most effective players are?
So you dont understand how coaches votes work?

One player has 7 perfect games and 9 worst on ground performances. They have 70 votes.
One player has 6 perfect games and 10 just missing coaches votes. They have 60 votes.

Clearly player 2 has had the better season, yet player 1 has more votes.

Try again.

Sounds like Dusty's year last year in a nutshell....

If player 1 ends up winning the AFLCA award as the best player voted by the coaches then yes he has had a better year

However considering I can think of 8 games off the top of my head where Cotchin has had ZERO impact on a game he doesn't fit either of those examples.

It doesn't matter what proof people put up about Cotchin having an average year year your going to try and dispel it. But the fat is he won't even be in the 40 let alone the 22

J. McGovern doesn't get a guernsey down back as the best intercept mark in the league?

Bit stiff.

In an era where pressure is regarded so highly I'm surprised Dev Smith isn't spoken about more often.
Had a great year and will be in the 40 I would imagine. But as a pure midfielder it will be hard for him to slip into the final 22.

It's a pity James Sicily got injured because he was a lock for the AA team. He still gets in at this stage based on his overall body of work. He isn't disqualified just because he got hurt. Someone still has to overtake him over the remaining rounds.

Blake Hardwick is also coming into contention for the 40 man squad as a small defender. He's been great this year.
Jack Gunston has been really consistent and probably flying under the radar. Underrated.

And what if player 1 doesnt win the award?

Ok list of those 8 games.

? No one has put up any proof of Cotchin having an average year. All youve put up is your own opinion. In case you didnt realize, thats not fact.
Thinking hes not AA is one thing thats a fair opinion, but saying hes having an average year just shows how little you know. Especially funny considering the talk in the commentary box last game that this is his best season, even better than 2012 Brownlow year.
He may not be AA, but he sure as shit hasnt been average. Thats a fact.

Reckon you could find a few more spots in the team for Hawthorn players.
