And what if player 1 doesnt win the award?

Ok list of those 8 games.

? No one has put up any proof of Cotchin having an average year. All youve put up is your own opinion. In case you didnt realize, thats not fact.
Thinking hes not AA is one thing thats a fair opinion, but saying hes having an average year just shows how little you know. Especially funny considering the talk in the commentary box last game that this is his best season, even better than 2012 Brownlow year.
He may not be AA, but he sure as shit hasnt been average. Thats a fact.
I think the issue for cotchin is that his best and worst games are as far apart as any top mid. Just lays some massive stinkers on occasion.

Reckon you could find a few more spots in the team for Hawthorn players.
Like I said, Blake Hardwick has been in great form. He has really stepped up. He probably won't get in this year because it usually takes a couple of years to generate the media hype required for AA recognition. But he is right up there.

Jaeger O'Meara has been in All Australian form in a number of games this season. What might count against him is the games where he hasn't quite been in All Australian form for various reasons. At this stage he'd be a lock as an emergency for the 44 man squad.

Chuck up the clangers/turnover numbers would ya?
Turns out when you kick a lot and attempt high risk/high reward kicks often then you also turn it over.
Any hes still only 16th in average turnovers per game while being 2nd in inside 50s, 1st in center clearances, 1st in score involvements, 9th in goal assists, 15th in metres gained. Veeery nice.

It's a pity James Sicily got injured because he was a lock for the AA team. He still gets in at this stage based on his overall body of work. He isn't disqualified just because he got hurt. Someone still has to overtake him over the remaining rounds.

Blake Hardwick is also coming into contention for the 40 man squad as a small defender. He's been great this year.
Jack Gunston has been really consistent and probably flying under the radar. Underrated.

B: Ben Stratton - Alex Rance - James Sicily
HB: Rory Laird - Robbie Tarrant - Shannon Hurn
C: Andrew Gaff - Tom Mitchell (c) - Isaac Smith
HF: Dustin Martin - Jack Riewoldt - Steele Sidebottom
F: Lance Franklin - Ben Brown - Luke Breust (vc)

R: Max Gawn - Nat Fyfe - Stephen Coniglio

I: Brodie Grundy - Patrick Cripps - Shaun Higgins - Jack Gunston

Squad:
Tom Stewart, Jeremy McGovern, Lachie Whitfield, Jake Lloyd, Blake Hardwick, Neville Jetta, Dylan Grimes
Clayton Oliver, Jack Macrae, Dayne Beams, Scott Pendlebury, Ben Cunnington, Trent Cotchin, Patrick Dangerfield, Ollie Wines,
Tom Hawkins, Jack Darling, Jesse Hogan, Josh Caddy, Jordan De Goey, Robbie Gray, Ben McEvoy
6 Hawks?
Get your hand off it mate.
Blake Hardwick has been good. Wouldn't be in the squad if it were 70 players so is zero chance.

Liked Roughy's game on the weekend too, and we all know about Poppy's pressure.
Both are obviously in the frame, but have they left their run too late?

hahahahaha. Holy shit, its like you just went down his games and jotted down the 8 lowest disposal counts. The problem with that is you haven't compared it to the rest of the team.
E.g Round 1. Cotchin has 17 touches, but only 1 Richmond player had more than 19. And since Cotchin also had 9 tackles, which is a game high. He was in our best. But you said he had 0 IMPACT on that game. When he went at 82% DE, 9 tackles, =2nd most center clearances and top 5 in clearances overall?
0 impact? 0? None at all? Riiiiight.

Too funny and further proves you haven't watched most Richmond games and are just talking out your ass. And also the fact that you keep judging Cotchin on disposal numbers for some reason. Have you seriously not figured out what his value is? Just stop embarrassing yourself.

You're doing it wrong.

You're supposed to mount a case for Daniel Menzel ahead of Luke Breust by posting the averages for goal assists and score involvements.
Then you should call Tom Mitchell a crab and post about the metres gained by Gary Ablett and Mitch Duncan.

Tom Stewart is an AA lock, only an imbecile could miss that.
Blicavs has barely conceded a goal all season. Rance has conceded about 40. AA FB
Hawkins is posting career high numbers, easily AA CHF
Selwood is back to his best, far more deserving than soft receivers like Gaff, Sidebottom and Macrae.
Just look at Dangers numbers, HFF
Duncan actually hurts the opposition with his ball use, unlike Mitchell.
If any other bloke was averaging 29 touches and a goal per game, he'd be first picked, but we've set the bar insanely high for Ablett. Surely he slots in on the bench.
Apparently Cotchin's 23.1 touches and 0.2 goals per game gets him in the conversation? I'd say Tim Kelly with 22.9 and 0.9 goals is well ahead.
Jed Bews takes the most dangerous small every week and beats them. Probably doesn't make the side, but he'd be in the squad.
Rhys Stanley, he struggled early, but he's not only the best ruckman, he's the best player of the last 6 weeks according to the official AFL Player Ratings.

Well done. Now you just need a few mates from the Geelong board to reiterate some of the above and crap on about Dangerfield for next 3 pages and spark a Danger>Cotch flame war with the Richmond boosters
