Heard on 6PR this morning it will be another couple of weeks but take that with the pinchiest grain of salt as nothing to back it up. Pretty sure it was Langdon talking
The last year or two Hagdorn has been making accurate calls on our players' injury status. The club has always denied them, but then they have shown to be accurate. My guess is that Hagdorn has a good contact with our imaging company or something.

Fair enough.
Doedee for me
BTW - Are you still aiming for < 10K this year?
I'm aiming to win the $50k lol
Aiming for a top 2k finish, last couple years have been shocking. Going to overseas for a few months mid season though, so I won't be watching any footy and things like late outs will destroy me. But yeah, giving it a crack

$50K You and maybe another poster or two are aiming for the same goal :)
Overseas - depends what you are doing, but I found a lot of time waiting at airport and in hotels etc
But, the key time will kill you... including VC/C etc
So 10K is realistic unfortunately

Typical Collingwood supporter. Making excuses before the season has even started. :p:p

Also, absolutely spewing that I caved in and put Dow in over LDU because I wanted to watch him play last nighto_O Idiot. Hopefully Dow is similar to SPS last year, and improves with decent JS.

I picked him on what I saw in the pre-season, I tried to ignore his numbers as rookies fluctuate so much.
But he did look very good against Saints.

Even last night he still got involved with 5 tackles, just seemed to be a step behind the pace.
Carlton were pretty good with their quick handballs through the middle, so I think once he picks up that pace he'll get better.
I felt he moved to the right spots.

Judd talked him up BIG time yesterday.
He won the B&F at Geelong Grammer in Yr 10, 11 and 12!
That is a school that also had Lochie O'brien (pick 10), Jarrod Brander (pick 13) and Brent Daniels (pick 27) drafted this year as well.

It's pretty tough, we've previously never had a genuine small fwd crumber.
Now we have Ryan and Rioli, so I'm not sure if both will play in the same team, but wouldn't surprise me.
As such I'd say Ryan is a lock should he be fit and playing reasonably well.
His X-factor should keep him in most weeks even if the results aren't there.

Venables is our future, highly touted, highly skilled. The issue is he'll be playing the vortex role of HFF which doesn't suit any West Coast player.
He will go quarters without getting near it, but hopefully gets solid rotations through the midfield.
I can't see a reason for him to be dropped unless his form really drops, or it's just to rest him, he's essentially played half a year of football in 2 years due to injury.

Waterman looks like our future full forward, but unfortunately for him we already have a full forward in JK who will come back probably around Rd. 4-6.
So you'll get some coin from Waterman early, and I don't see Brander or Matt Allen getting a gig in his place.
The pleasing thing for Waterman is that he was going to play at the end of last year, even with Darling and JK in the side, so he could remain in the team with JK and JD.

All 3 will have a wide scoring range of about 30-80 at max.
They'll be given opportunities though which is the main thing.
Tempted to pick all 3

Cats peps - L Fogarty or T Kelly with the better JS and SP?

Hype has been on Kelly all pre-season but hearing good things about this Fogarty kid.
