Now that Coffield isn't playing, who are the best cheap options for defenders?
So far I've got: Yeo, Luke McDonald, Angus Brayshaw,
Coffield, Andrew McGrath, Murray (bench: Doedee, Finlayson)

Atm I'm considering Naughton or Pearce, but they will get very low scores since they are kpd's. Lachlan Murphy is playing for the Crows, but not so sure about his job security and scoring potential...? Any other options?

re Holman:

The third debutant for the SUNS this weekend has been arguably the surprise packet of the pre-season so far.

Nick Holman was given a second chance by Gold Coast and hasn’t looked back since, impressing in both of his JLT Series outings.

The rookie has typified the SUNS’ new game plan under Dew, with his forward pressure and ability to rotate through the midfield telling.

Looks good for the lad, reckon he's going to get a decent run

So yeah - I need one of Murphy, Ryan, Venebles and Waterman to complete my rookies.

Any suggestions for best JS and highest scoring potential?
Murphy - not too sure. Ive got him but don't think his JS or scoring would be more than average

Ryan - maybe 60 with good JS

Venables - maybe 50 with good JS

Waterman - maybe 60, gets dropped as soon as JK is back (round 5-6 maybe)

Thank you. Currently intend to stick with Ryan. Murphy's price is tempting but I have literally no idea on his job security and his price will not be helpful if he does not play a string of games.

Waterman, Venables and Ryan ranked in terms of JS and SP if you could be so kind (in your humble opinion)
IMO

Ryan has best JS - scoring range is 20-75
Venables has 2nd best JS - scoring range is 40-70
Waterman has worst JS (plays first 6 at least while JJK is out though) - scoring is 45-65

It's pretty tough, we've previously never had a genuine small fwd crumber.
Now we have Ryan and Rioli, so I'm not sure if both will play in the same team, but wouldn't surprise me.
As such I'd say Ryan is a lock should he be fit and playing reasonably well.
His X-factor should keep him in most weeks even if the results aren't there.

Venables is our future, highly touted, highly skilled. The issue is he'll be playing the vortex role of HFF which doesn't suit any West Coast player.
He will go quarters without getting near it, but hopefully gets solid rotations through the midfield.
I can't see a reason for him to be dropped unless his form really drops, or it's just to rest him, he's essentially played half a year of football in 2 years due to injury.

Waterman looks like our future full forward, but unfortunately for him we already have a full forward in JK who will come back probably around Rd. 4-6.
So you'll get some coin from Waterman early, and I don't see Brander or Matt Allen getting a gig in his place.
The pleasing thing for Waterman is that he was going to play at the end of last year, even with Darling and JK in the side, so he could remain in the team with JK and JD.

All 3 will have a wide scoring range of about 30-80 at max.
They'll be given opportunities though which is the main thing.

Settled on this

Bonner, Naughton, Murray, Finlayson (Doedee, Murphy E)
Brayshaw, Davies-Uniacke (Banfield E, Kelly, Holman)
(Cameron)
Fritsch (Garlett, Giles-Langdon E)
Passing on Ryan. Intriguing
Shocked I've gone ahead with 4 on field rookies in the back, but yolo
You're not because you're starting Bonner!
