i cannot think of another scenario where this has occurred. speaks volumes on their opinion on who's in charge there.
Watters, Malthouse, Kennett off the top of my head.

What a 24 hours it's been though!

I think we should try to move 4 and pick up a gun. Fact is we have lots of youth but not enough good older players. Shop it to GWS for Shiel... Maybe Sydney for Hannebery and Lloyd together with change back. Gaff even.

I just don't really see the point of another high young pick coming in right now. Hawthorn a couple of years back shipped off two 1st round picks. Mitchell came in and now one of the best in the AFL. We need something like that.

Other clubs would be desperate to get their hands on a high pick.

Fair enough. Maybe he should've asked for people to PM him...;)
Let's just say there was a reason Ross Lyon created the bubble.

Was having a chat to him at a family day and discussing fan criticism. I mentioned Saintsational.

He basic reply was yeah, bloody saintsational. If you want to know tomorrows headlines, just read saintsational.

First part of the review:
Who is a liability re disposal?

Armo
Gilbert
Dunstan
Geary
Steven

Yes I said it Steven. If our midfield leader and our captain are the worst distributors then I think they should be on the farewell list.

Send Armo Gilbert and Weller to GC for a 2nd round, Dunstan to SA for an early 3rd and Steven to whoever for a 1st round.

By removing the poor kickers then the rebuild has hit the ground running.

This year I like Gresh, Membrey, long and Battle up forward. Surprised to say Lonie has been alright also.

Unsure on
paddy - will he develop?
Bruce - has he already peaked and about to be passed by battle.
Billings- super talent but where is his head/heart.

Backline
Webster, Carlisle great. Otherwise no one else a lock unless Robbo makes it back.

Also look at moving on Newnes just not sure what we would get.

Change list skills and culture.

agree kind of but our backline will be ok , Austin has not been given a good run and the more games we have got into McKenzie the better he has become - Goddard could surprise us all / with Clavarino building nicely.

Steven has not great disposal but being one of our older players we need some one who can lead because we have so few - I would use him in the forward line because the guy can kick goals.

Bruce has a lot of knockers , but the guy if left in one position can be a marking target and goal kicker and at this stage he is one of the only guys who has proved he is a goal kicker. Also he just turned 26 and this year has been a right off for him / so no way in the world can you say the guy has peaked.

Steele is another who has progressed this year , but if we had a better midfield bunch you would see the guy can do more than tag which he has been tasked to do most weeks.

that is what they should do - surely they can get a good player who can lead our young kids - atm Geary is no leaser on the park , maybe in the club rooms but you don't need a player to lead in there.

That’s not how the message is being taken brother. Just need King Nick now....

I know but Andy Maher was leading him into a trap. He didn't say it in a scandalous way, he just said what he'd do to fix the situation. It's a shame, he's been refreshing in the media. Hopefully he doesn't get guarded from this.

It’s not how he said it. It’s what was said from someone in the inner sanctum. It’s no mark on Nick either. It’s on the leaders of this club

What worries me is the players hearing this from someone who is respected who has actually been inside the club . Is this something that is spoken about amongst the playing group already??
If so it’s probably a good thing that he’s come out publicly . It might be a reality check for people at the top .

Billings did well in his 'contract year' last year, he'll probably do it again next year when he needs to perform for those extra dollars. If he does perform well it means the team should be better too. Can only be a good thing.

I thought Dal made it clear before he started that he doesn't have anything to do with the current group and works with the academy kids.

Not the best looks since he is an employee, but he came across really caring and more as a supporter than an insider.

Group is soft as it has a soft head. Needs a leader

He's doing the junior academy and would be unfamiliar to half our list.

The damming thing about what Dal was saying is that while he referenced all these legends that helped him when he arrived… if our current batch are so bereft of leaders showing them the way, what does it say about Roo, Joey, Dempster, Chips, even Lenny was still there when Dunstan, JB & Acres came to the club… so why didn't they pass the baton down as Dal was suggesting they got from all those legends?

I also heard news today about one of our best 22 ( not Billings) has told his manager he wants out . He said hes not the only one . He’s contracted for next year . I can’t say who it is as it came from his family . Has me worried about how many we may lose next year if Richo can’t turn this around.
A mid year sacking next year might be required if we’re still looking bad half way thru next year
