Pierce is better around the ground, but Lycett is a better tap...

I actually thought Pierce was very flat footed but was very good at directing taps. If he can keep that as his standard it's pretty much like for like. Lycett is a GOP who looks above average because of the side he plays in.

Seems odd as Dunstan is one of the few young blokes who has been given every chance to succeed. Has chewed up a fair chunk of our midfield rotations for almost 5 years now and has barely improved.

As others have mentioned if there is a way to get rid of both I would be all for it. Dunstan is slow, cant spread, has ordinary kicking, limited endurance and for an "inside mid" is hardly an animal at the contest. Basically a very good VFL player.

Is kidding himself if he thinks he is being starved of opportunity at the Saints, zero chance of breaking into either SA side.
He's also the bloke that cried after one of our losses. As much as i don't rate him as a player i seriously doubt he's the type to have an 'ultimatum' style "It's him or me" outlook on his future at the saints.

Sounds like rubbish to me.

SEN had Boomer and Maher saying that some one is suggesting he priority picks will be Carlton get pick One and Three, GC get Two and Four then Tom Lynch compo should see us get in around pick 7. Maher says no priority for us. Boomer reckons if you haven't made finals 4 years straight you should get one.

I really hope that's not the AFL sounding it out.

That would be a disgrace if the AFL allowed that to happen

Pierce has the weirdest running style I've ever seen.

He looks like a Centaur in slow motion.

Maybe priority picks should splice in between the non-finalists and finalists.

Eg- carlton get picks 1 and 11
GC get 2 and 12
We get 3 and 14

Obviously they get pushed back if lynch compo gets added

I just think they hold more chance of having more immediate impact than a pick in the 20s. But one thing is for sure- they CAN'T give up priority picks immediately after their first pick, no matter what

If that does happen hopefully we’ll have a new Board in place with some balls who would make a huge protest.

Having said that, I doubt this’ll happen. Most likely be given at the end of round 1.

Don't stress mate, there is no way the afl would allow us to slip that far, they are as worried about our club as our big footy board.

Unlikely we'll end up with a PP by the sounds of it but I'd be gob smacked if the other two got anymore than an end of first round.

i still rate Dunstan ... he is still one of the guys you can see puts his everything into the team he actually looks devstated when we lose like its hurt him personally .. i dont reckon we get that kind of buy in from others .. the thing is i think we are not playing dunstan to his best attributes, if you watch him he often tries to do too much , the comparison to Clint Jones is valid .. Clint carved out a fair career at the saints by not trying to do what he couldnt do .. back in the day Ross Lyon gave him a set of guidelines of what his role was and what he was expected to do based on his abilities and he played in a way that for the most part hid his flaws ... i think with a stronger direction from a mor understanding coach Dunstan could become the player he showed he could become in year one ... someone like Lenny guiding him or even Harves would give him the right direction at the moment Mcphee is trying to direct him no disrespect to Mcphee but he wouldnt have a clue what an AFL midfield is like in the heat of battle
If TMBK is there in 2019, Luke Dunstan won't be. Like most of us he can't stand the campaigner and will seek other opportunities. How many players have ever said they approached a psychologist for playing advice at the expense of a coaching panel he publicly stated he didn't have any confidence in? That was a few weeks into the season. Surely someone should've conducted a review at that point.

Geez I hope it does happen. Will give me an excuse to cut ties with AFL and save $1000 a year.

I'm reluctant to assess any of the talent on our list while the cancerous Cho & Co. are in place.

I actually feel bad for dismissing Lonie across recent seasons. Little campaigner is pissing into the wind with our current icey pole stick set-up.
He's done well the last few weeks. Cho will probably let him go just as he comes good.

Maher is totally clueless. He really wouldn’t know and adds no value to any discussion about football.

What happens if Gold Coast beat Brisbane? It could happen. There is no way those two clubs will get an additional early 1st RDP, there would be outrage if that happened.

He’s just wearing his biased Carlton hat as he always does.

In that case, see you later Luke.

No one is bigger than the club. Especially VFL standard players.
