WC were supposedly right into him until draft night when we weren’t. I think he’s a very good get for you guys.

Is he a realistic chance of a game early this year?

No chance at all.

How is Heeney tracking after knee surgery? And any standouts at training?

Heeney is fine. No relevant standouts really. Swans are slowly getting up to speed, not aiming to peak too early. Mcveigh could be value though.

It was mentioned by a swan mate that Heeney is behind in the preseason? He had a knee scope in december, surely he is well and truly running? How did he go in time trials etc?

Theyre onto skills training now, time trials was when he had his knee cleaned up. Hes training back with the main squad from memory.

Not personally but there was an article on it long ago. First one was rookies and up to 3rd year players from memory. Swans website staff must have been striking with the train drivers over Christmas.

Very little information has been released by Swans media, however my educated guess is yes.

Yes he's a contingency, one of many also including Towers, Sinclair, Cameron and Reid as I think its likely Naismith will be the starting ruck. I would suggest two from that list with Naismith/Sinclair will be in the 22 on any given week.

What held him back was injury and then struggled to put it all together again and then missed a trainingg and faced internal punishment.

probably 80% fwd, 20% on a wing, if he comes on like a freak it might be a different story though

Yeah absolutely. I think he will be more and more integrated into the core midfield and be an excellent pick up.

Far as I known he's in good knick. I think he is too good to leave out, but with Grundy and Melican in its not obvious what role he will take.

Healthy and unlikely, unless Grundy doesn't get up for Round 1.
