2/2/4 - E. Wood, Rampe
6/1/4 - Jaeger
2/0/1
2/2/4 - Christensen, Ah Chee

Think Rampe or Wood may become a premo. Just want cash from the others. I hate myself for Jaeger being there, I may remove.

Right now I'm;

3-1-4 (I'd rate Shaw as a premium due to potential/lack of premium defensive options)
5-1-5
1-1-1
3-1-4

Leaves me with 12 premiums. Ideally you want 13-14 coming into Round 1, and as few mid pricers as possible. But **** it's tempting to have a few potential cash cows in there...

Happy for now to take the safe risk (if there is such thing) going with Coniglio, Lycett and Bundy. Unsure on Bonner.

Not sure best place for this but a question; let's say a MID (e.g. Adams) gets DPP status - is it more beneficial to start with this player over a pure MID (e.g. Kelly) if you predict they will average similarly, or is it better to start with the pure Mid and trade for the DPP. Or is there no advantage either way?

Benefits of switching Adams back may be better options to bring in a MID than whichever DEF he replaces, but perhaps it would be more beneficial to instead have an extra DEF upgrade/premium target to plan around the byes?

I reckon it's best to start with the pure mids. Generally speaking they are going to score more points, so may as well make the most of it. But I get where you're coming from.

Any player in particular you're thinking of doing this with?

DPP is extremely handy with rookies and coverage (say if one of you premos gets injured or suspended short term), during bye weeks, and later in the year when players start dropping like flies, not so much early on

Literally the two players mentioned - in trying to consider which way to lean, this thought process came about. There are a couple of other player choices that could go that way also, so curious if anyone thought it was a consideration point or not. Thanks for reply.

Adams is mid only though

Structure.

Cheap rookies that look like scoring well trump expensive rookies that look like scoring well so you just don't pick the expensive ones if they could end up being on the bench. ie... TKelly & DBarry trump Dow & LDU.
Any good scoring DPP rookies that have fwd/mid or def/mid status start in the fwd or def line, not mids. Otherwise cheap benched fwd/mid, def/mid DPP options in the mids are cool.
There is premo value in the mids without the risk of midpricers. (eg..Cripps & Fyfe trump Armitage & O'Meara).. so G'n'R here. Redden = red herring.
There is sufficient cheaper rookies in defence without the need for expensive rookies or midpricers. (eg..Doedee, Mihocek, Cumming & Finlayson trump Byrne, Bonner, Cheney, Brayshaw or McGrath)..so G'n'R here.
However, the fwd line is a good place for midpriced speculative players eg... DSmith, CPetracca, CCurnow, ANealB, Christensen, Sicily etc.. as cheaper rookie options aren't as solid in potential money making as in defence. (IMO) Expensive rookies like Stephenson & Rayner may also be the way to go onfield here.
Rucks, spend the money get Kreuzer to hold hands with Gawn. Cameron on the bench with Petruccelle fwd/mid as the floating donut with the bonus that either will most likely play before the byes.
Work ya premos around that bs and there's ya structure brah
My thoughts are free and thankyou for reading, now get to your team and make the necessary changes.

Bit of a change up as ive dropped a couple 400-500k mid-pricers for cheaper (200-300k) midprice options. That enabled me to grab that 5th gun mid. Of my 10 mid-pricers 6 are 400k+ and 4 are <300k. I'd love it if 2 of my backline mid-pricers became keepers and at least 2 of my forwardline mid-pricers too. That would give me at least 12 keepers and i'd have 6 mid-pricers and 4 rookies to upgrade.

I thought it would be interesting to see where I've spent my money so i calculated that below

$2,381,900 on backs at an average of $297,737.50 per player. My starting 6 are priced at 2,134,100/6 which is $355,683.33. My bench comes in at average of $123,900

$4,274,600 on mids at an average price of $388,600. My starting 8 clock in at an average of 3,931,500/8 = $491,437.5. Bench averages $114,366.67

$883,200 on rucks. Average price of $294,400. Starters average price is $390,400 and bench is $102,400

$2,455,500 on forwards. Avg is $306,937.5. Starters = $370,150. Bench = $117,300

That leaves $4,800 leftover which is obviously not ideal but with a few DPP players i have plenty of options and flexibility for early 'correction trades'. Not sure what to make of the numbers above but i think it shows a decent spread across all positions.

The forever changing landscape of my team. Oh, the horror. I'll wake up one day and my team will be deleted and I'll be happy once again.

lol if you go with 450k and up I have 2 midpricers and Lycett :rainbow:
If I set the Mid-pricer range to $230k - $450k, then I'm

3-0-5
5-0-6
2-0-1
2-3-3

There's no way in hell I end up with so many unproven players... just want the round 1 teams to drop so I can do my team properly, it's all just a bit of fun now
