I went heavy with mid-pricers last year and it paid off. Somehow unfortunately failed to pick Oliver - very costly!

This season is exactly the same IMO and if you have more than 6 starting rookies on the field it is to many i reckon.

May mean you miss out on starting a proven gun like Dusty or Titch but you have to hope they fall a bit in price and then grab them at a reduced price later on as you cannot start with every gun all over the field!

I am currently only starting 6 Rookies with 2 down back / 2 in the Mids and 2 up forward, i would like to reduce that to 5 but i am having a hard time doing it and as of right now i have 7 players between 250 and 480k.

The days are gone of Rookies tonning up everywhere like we had in the GWS and GC days which enabled us to start 3+ on every line barring the rucks.

SC is much harder now to do with a heavy Rookie/Gun approach.

6 for me .....3 Mids, 1 Def, 2 Fwds .........the DEF / FWD is a bit arbitrary & can be reversed depending on where i place Sicily

New club, new role. I think he'll be the main man across half back for the Dogs given Johannison is playing further up the ground. I'm not expecting it but an average of 90+ would not be out of the question. Sicily seems like a much safer pick but in terms of $ per point scored id expect Crozier to be up there with the best mid price forwards. FWIW he is not currently in my team but i am considering him.

EDIT: If Lobb was fit I'd have him right in the conversation too
