Top end is as elite as any, doesnt look to be a lot of depth in the draft though.. Would only be a handful of players outside the top 15 that are best 22 players.

Dirty Stirty and the match committee keep blue balling us on Sturt. Pretty much every Freo supporter wants to find a way to get him in the team coz he's a piece of the puzzle we need. Hopefully with us getting routed by Covid this week they get him in.

The draft is still very very good, the elite kids have just been elite for a while so no one gives them their dues but King, King and Walsh alone looks close to the best top tier picks in a draft for while.

Surely Jordon Butts starting 22? He’s a gun.

Sparrow and Jordan have been best 22 for over a year now

yea they are under-rated by most neutrals i think, when i made my list it was more to point out guys who were starting 22 or close to starting 22 long term, it basically means the same thing, but i wanted to point out that this draft bats pretty deep when it comes to starting 22 players, which was in question.

I’m interested in the thoughts of neutral followers on where you’d rank James Rowbottom? In a redraft would he go in the second half of the first round?

I think he is an excellent young player.
Not sure exactly where he goes, but he can play.

McInerney is easily top 22 for Sydney and has outperformed both Blakey and Rowbottom at Sydney. I'd have him in the top 10 of the draft class. Seriously underrated

Are we including the Rookie Draft?

Wilkie/Chol and Butts have becoming solid main stayers at the moment.

Good shout out to Shultz/Answerth and Koschitzke at the back end of the draft.

Most disapointing so far would be Chayce Jones at pick 10.

Riley Collier-Dawkins another first rounder who's been disappointing. Jones is at least best 22.

Rhylee West a huge sleeper from this draft. Has been quiet until this year but starting to really break out.

Doing this one on a pretty even mixture of what we've seen so far (almost four full years in) and what I'm expecting them to do going forward. Tough list after the top few. This draft will have about 10 stars and 20 role players. From a Melbourne POV, I think Sparrow has done more and is a really good player, but Jordon probably plays his role better.

  1. M. King
  2. S. Walsh
  3. B.King
  4. N.Blakey
  5. B.Smith
  6. I.Quaynor
  7. T.Thomas
  8. Z.Butters
  9. J.McInerney
  10. C.Rozee
  11. J.Lukosius
  12. J.Butts
  13. I.Rankine
  14. X.Duursma
  15. J.Clark
  16. J.Rowbottom
  17. T.Sparrow
  18. J.Koschitzke

The Suns boys are criminally low in this list
