Why dont we look at preuss from north as a backup for stef? from queensland and is very young.

From what i have seen he will be one of the best rucks in the comp in a few years time.
I have mentioned this before, I like the idea of at least asking the question. We are turning into a destination club;). IMO you need 3 full time rucks in your squad, Stef only has a year or 2 left and then you have the big O and Archie and the jury is still out on him.

But what happens when you ask North?

You never know, depends what we are offering, they'd probably say no if I had to guess, no harm in asking jack, I like the little bits I have seen of him.
No but he's contracted so it's not as simple as going 'Hey Brayds, wanna play for Brisbane?'.

The likelihood is he's worth more to North than he is to us, especially if he is going to be one of the best rucks in the league in a few years like suggested.

What do you think he will cost us, considering he will be one of the best rucks in the comp in a few years time?

I don't like the idea f going after him personally. I'm also not sure who would miss out in the team for him considering we get Charlie back next year and (what looks like) a top 5 pick as well.
I can't comment if I like the idea or not. I'd like to know what logic or reasoning the poster is suggesting Shai for Brisbane before I comment on the validity of their suggestion. As you imply in your response a trade has implications on our list. I'd like to hear what considerations have been given to the suggested trade, thus the question "why?"

Honestly not sure at this stage, he isnt getting a game which is a bonus considering he was for much of last season but north will want him when goldy retires so could be worth a bit.

He is contracted to North I believe. They see him as Goldsteins replacement. Plus we do have The Big O who only debuted this year and is showing good signs. Can't see us going after Preuss or wanting to give up what it would cost to get him.
O needs to put on weight otherwise he is gonna get pushed out of the way by the likes of gawn and goldy

Big O needs to beef up soon. he legit needs to just eat and get in that gym.
Why? What is your reasoning.

Max Gawn - Currently recognized as the best ruck-man in the AFL is listed at 208 cm Weight 109kg
Brody Grundy - Currently recognized as the heir-apparent is listed at 203cm weight 102kg

Oscar McInerney - Currently listed at 204cm 107kg
Pretty much ideal and in line with the best of modern day ruck-man.

Personally I think he needs to improve his tank so he can ruck for longer
He is currently in the team as the second ruck. Spending the majority of his time in the forward line.
He doesn’t need to ruck for any longer yet! He gets around the ground pretty well for a big fella. He will probably never be another Stef as far as disposals around the ground go.
His strength will be as a tap ruckman.

What's a bit, is it the same as motza?
I interpret "worth a bit" in AFL trading terms as top 10 draft pick maybe first rounder in the teens.
What do you say we should pay for him?

I personally would be very much in favor of going after Shai Bolton, he can't get a game for the Tigers so would come reasonably cheap ie. 3rd-4th rounder. Another high pressure goal kicking small forward would come in as handy depth at the least. He was pretty highly rated by some in his draft year.
