Yeah, I'd do 4 years for Wallis in a heart beat.

Yeah Bastinac hasn't worked out, but why is there this belief that Bastinac is a massive ball and chain around our ankles as a result? Every club has contracted players on their list who are probably in the exit lounge. It's just part of how it works.

God, if we are going to let Ryan Bloody Bastinac scare us of from taking some calculated risks to improve our list and address deficiencies in the future, we may as well close up shop.
True and you can't ignore the value of having hardened bodies to teach and protect in the neafl, as well as for depth.

Wallis would be a good get but i think he is Bomber bound.
If Beams goes the Lions should be looking at swapping for Salem (Demons)
Yeah nahhh!!

Why would we trade a A grade midfielder for a sub par small defender?

We have guys like Mayes, Allison, Cox and Bailey who play that similar role in our reserves.

Basically it just says we have confirmed our interest in Wallis, joining Essendon and Gold Coast in the hunt. If a club offers him 4 years he may leave the Bulldogs. Article also says Essendon are in the box seat for him as he wouldn't have to leave Melbourne.
Thats if Wallis is happy to play with Stringer again, could be huge question mark there.

I wouldn't use that comparison - bit like comparing me and Ricky Ponting before we both got sconed! Anyway - we all have different opinions. I put up trying to get Tim Kelly a couple of weeks ago and that wasn't well received (some may have changed their tune after his game against Melbourne last weekend).
Tim Kelly will continue with Cats or ho home to Perth, no other scenario in play with him.

It's hard to tell but couldn't have been that good. For a footballer obviously.
In terms of wallis, wouldnt expect him to be paid 800000, so in comparison 350000 is a fair chunk of change toward a potential contract for wallis. Which is what my original comment was based on. Perhaps "good" wasn't the right word.
