Nekminnut Lynch to NMFC in a buddyesque style secret negotiation

Would be funny if it happened but alas very unlikely. The poor guy has been stuck with that crap team for years and all he probably wants by now is a crowd to play in front of. Soon we'll find out what's more important to him... setting up his long term future with millions of $$$ or playing in front of a toothless crowd.

All these players not getting contracts yet at North could point to us maybe having a few targets in our sights

Not much left though

And no way in hell Lynch would ever come to North. It ****s me off that tigers are in the lead to get him to be honest. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer
I didn't see any of us complaining when we got Higgins and Waite after we played in a prelim.

Public opinion on Lynch dwarfs both of them combined at the point when we got them.
Free agency was designed for exactly this scenario, though. It was something the players wanted to allow them to get to the club of their choice without their club being pricks about it. That's all Tom Lynch is trying to do.

And to be honest with you, I don't begrudge him at all. The guy has spent a long time playing to no-one for not many wins, is it any wonder he wants to go to a big club in premiership contention?

We need nippy/talented small forwards, we don't really have them outside Narrier and he's afraid to take his hands out of his pockets.
Also ... you’ve gone very early on this Narrier == soft narrative. It’s uncalled for and unwarranted.

We ain’t the pies who blew all their cap on greenbucks , Mayne and Wells.

Think there will be pressure on wells to retire and forgo his last year of contract.
That's cute.

You think salary cap applies to the big clubs.

Ehhh... I guess. We were never in any serious contention in any logical universe so I couldn't give a rats about him.

So if we miss out on the big fish - we should have a sook in the corner.

We would be talking to a few players
If you miss out on the big fish, just draft. Our best picks have been making the best out of high picks or discarded players.

Hall's a bloody waste, its taking someone for the sake of it.

I never said he was soft, it’s just he doesn’t get his hands out of his pockets to tackle much. If I was going to call a player soft, I’ll just come out and say it.
Besides injury history, I don’t see why not. Waite and Higgins had their issues pre-north.
Narrier is not a small forward. He’s Garner sized.
He play’s like a small forward, but you would know more than on him.

Really keen on the idea of getting Dahlhaus as a small forward.
I have no idea why people are against it. He'd be a very handy pick up. Still has age on his side and wouldn't cost an arm and a leg. He'd be great as a half forward and spending time in the midfield. Massive upgrade on hrovat and turner.
