- Gaff for 1.2 mil.? No thanks. Gaff for 900/1 mil? Yes.

- Darcy Moore no.
If we have the coin I'd be happy to pay that for Gaff. We'd be pushing top 4 with him in the team.

Toss up, the only thing I’d say about Martin is that he’s only just scratched the surface of his ability.
Yes I agree with that.

I do think adding Gresham into our side will make us a much better side and can play multiple roles. And hitting our forwards in the chest.

It would be nearly like adding Boomer into our side again, can play as a small fwd and actually kick goals, can play as a mid in the next year or two (been floating in out atm), and is very clean with his skills. Kind of what I was hoping Hrovat would become closer to but hasn't. Has xfactor too.

I really am very big on Gresham and think he will only grow to a extremely good footballer.

But if we got either of the two I would be very excited.

Can we please have a policy on top of the no Josh Kelly nickname previously mention that it is a trade *hisperer free zone.

He is just makes stuff up and deserves no attention. Just a troll account, or some sociopath needing some attention.

I'd very much prefer TradeGuru69

"THERE'S SIX MELBOURNE BASED CLUBS THAT WOULD BE INTERESTED IN GAFF"
BY SEN 17 MINUTES AGO
Andrew Gaff is someone who always likes to take his team when working out a new contract according to his player manager Paul Connors.

With players re-signing left and right, Gaff’s value continues to rise as the premier out-of-contract midfielder in the competition.

Connors confirmed he’s received offers from a number of Victorian clubs, but doesn’t appear in any rush for the midfielder to make a decision.

“I think there’s six Melbourne based clubs that would be interested in Andrew Gaff, but West Coast is a pretty good club that’s doing a lot right and they don’t lose many players,” he told the AFL Nation pregame show.

“He’s a deep thinker who just takes his time and I said it last year, Josh Kelly in July was leaving (GWS) and in August he’s staying, so Gaff’s just taking his time.

“He’s a young man who always does his contracts late.

“(Gaff) doesn’t seek out (offers from other clubs), he just knows that there’s interest back home.”

Connors praised West Coast for the way they’ve handled the situation with their out of contract star.

“Of course (the Eagles) would love an answer, but they’re very respectful. They’re a mature club that’s been through this before,” Connors said.

“They’ve got finals to think about and top two and other issues on their mind.

“He’s got everything in front of him from West Coast, he’s just grappling with whether he stays.”

The Eagles will be hoping to strengthen their grip on the top two as they prepare for the Derby on Sunday afternoon against the Dockers.

He stuck around with the club he was drafted to for 8 years. A very unsuccessful club. There are massive limitations on how much he can commit to another team, and players in general RARELY speak about changing clubs mid season. I actually respect him a bit for saying it now instead of dropping the bomb in trade week. He gave the gold coast time to sort their shit out.

The system is the flaw, not the player IMO. At the same time though, would we prefer players signing contracts with other teams mid season?
Yep, the systen is the flaw. For a team to be able to chase a contracted player for 2 years is a joke and limits the opportunities of other clubs being able to sell themselves as a destination.

In the NFL, lolmond would be stripped of draft selections for tampering with contracted players/coaches and Roger Goodell would block the offer/trade.

Lynch and his management would be fined and he would have to negotiate terms with teams that played by the rules...

The afl will do nothing but sit back and allow this transaction to take place. After they get what they need for the big 4/5 clubs, then they will shift the goal posts. Take it to the bank.

Well he wasn’t wrong. Kelly himself said he was leaving until his manager convinced him to stay and win premierships. Lol.
If north get gaff on 1m a year and say polec/gresham on 600k, have we got the coin to chase Kelly on big money?

Cant see how we have 3 odd million in the cap...

I believe that we do.
Sorry, I should of rephrased that. I dont believe we can spend the 3m in the cap.

We will have organic growth that will need funding. So if Gaff/polec chew up 1.6-1.8 is there enough for Kelly?
