Surely Geelong wont be offering an unmatchable offer. Band 1 might net them pick 17, Band 2 pick 19.

I think they match but also i think you guys will get it done.

Why do we want Josh?

It's not a flashy trade by any means - but from looking at the draft this year I'd guess we'll be taking a midfielder (Rankine/Walsh), and then we may need to match our next pick with McFadyen. When Hodge retires there's one extra spot (Mayes?) and would be good to have backup in this area if either Witherden/Rich go down. He fits our list profile and if he's available for cheap I'd be keen to have a look.

How do the Demons fans see Tom Buggs future? Wouldn't mind him back at the right price.
He’s well and truly out of favour. Not sure of his contract status. If he’s OOC then I’m not sure he’ll be re signed so he'll be a DFA. Otherwise a late pick gets it done.

Saw a Roos fan mention that Eagles could do with Goldy next year and they’d be happy to let him go. What would be the price on that? I think it would be a good fit and there were talks about getting him 2 years ago I think when Nic Nat went down for the first time.

Would a second rounder do? I wouldn’t mind coughing that up for Goldy to finish giant last couple of years with us, especially while we still have Kennedy, Shuey in his prime, Yeo Yeo in his prime etc.

I’m sure we could work something out only thing is he’s being stubborn about leaving Melbourne apparently he loves his kids.

In all honesty, if I was West Coast, I would just rookie Zac Clarke. He's putting together a pretty good injury free run for Subi at the moment.

Useless as a forward/ruck, but still a reasonable #1 ruck option if Lycett was to go down.
I’d be mightily surprised if he doesn’t end up on a list for next year. He’s finally got himself fully fit and in form at subi.

Lycett would be crazy to leave now given all he really wants is a #1 ruck spot. But if he does chase the cash he’s entitled to look at- we’d be crazy to not rookie Clarke at the very least.

agree 100%. We will have the points for Thomas regardless of where they come from.

West coast stitch us up with a bid on Luke Mcdonald so we know what thats all about
You weren’t annoyed at WC for bidding on him iirc - you were annoyed that the rules then allowed us to trade that pick but the bidding occurred prior to trade week. We then traded down from 6-11 for an extra 2nd rounder which we needed to pick up Yeo. You though (ridiculously, I might add) we’re still forced to use that 1st rounder because our bid somehow still was considered relevant?

They fixed that by having the nominations on draft night. It’s examples like that that makes me worry for the coming live trading. Someone is going to get absolutely shafted - I don’t think they’ve thought through it enough personally.

Which he could have back at in Port Adelaide too the way things are going...

Though I'd hate to buy him at his high, such is his luck at the moment.

It's not like Port and Adelaide picking up Ryder and Jacobs who were devalued at the time.

Talk over here of Sandilands to the Eagles, we'll take him

Melbourne, what would you want for Josh Wagner?
The coaching staff love him at the Dees but I’d doubt you’d find a Dees fan wouldn’t trade him for half a Mars bar. A change of scenery might be beneficial for all concerned, his value would be next to nothing. I can’t see him moving though, he re signed very recently IIRC.

Again. Just like Wagner free to a good home AFAIC. If we got anything for him all the better.
