Why do freo take 8 and 13 instead of 5 and 18?

Hogan will take the pick 5 if they want to go that way.

Atkins doesn’t get you an upgrade from pick 5 to 3. They is an amazingly horrid suggestion. Gcs wouldn’t even know who Atkins is.

Most of these are pretty fair, but the WB/Bris trade values Marcus Adams at Pick 37 which is massive unders, especially considering the Dogs have asked for a pick in the 20s. Remove the Pick 45 from the trade and it values him at Pick 22/23, which is pretty much exactly what the Dogs would be wanting

Hahaha don't quite know how I managed that. Replace 15 with 14 in the Lobb deal and 15 with 18 in the Hogan one.

Maybe, as you can see I stuffed up the Freo part anyway. The way I see it, the clubs in their window are motivated to pay overs. What do you care if it costs you 2 x firsts if you win a flag. It can backfire badly, like it did with us and Gibbs. But in 2017, we died wondering. In 2018 we didn't die wondering, we just died.

I think Hogan is worth probably an early 2nd more than Neale. But Freo aren't in a window. They have no rush to get Hogan through the door now, or wait 2 years. Brisbane are the same with Beams. What they are doing with their list is helped by having a dominant midfielder like Beams. But they can bring in Neale for Beams, so are probably easier to convince. Neither Brisbane, GC or Freo are jeopardizing a flag. Melbourne and the Pies are the clubs who are in their windows.

You can win the battle over Beams, but it might cost you the war.

Regardless we're not trading our 1st rounder for a bunch of random picks later on just for points. If we dont want it we can give it to saints for bruce worst case scenario

If you trade that pick for later points then you get Quaynor cheaper. Collingwood may look to go the other way however and trade up to get in before a Quaynor bid.
