Cerra/Brayshaw and 5 for Hogan?

Value is there but would rather keep Hogan.
Although looking at that we should be adding something like our 2nd round pick (currently 32) back to Freo.Yeah tough trade to get your head around for both teams. Say you added Cerra and Rankine to your already star studded midfield... Now wouldn't that be exciting for a long time.

I don’t think Dockers would do that. If Cerra said he didn’t want to stay maybe, but many dockers have 3 options. Hogan/MM/Lobb (Lobb a maybe), surely you could get one of them without offering the your first and your most promising rookie.
Of those 3 though, Hogan is the only one that can kick 50 goals a year for the next 8 years.
I'd keep 5 if i were Freo.Cerra/Brayshaw and 5 for Hogan?
Nope. Navicular injuries are terrible. Last study done into them out of Melbourne (the city, not the club) shows that athletes never have pain free full function again (at least to the five year post injury average the study was testing).Cerra/Brayshaw and 5 for Hogan?
GWS would want 2 first round picks at a minimum wait until next season when he's a free agentEssendon: Out: Laverde In: StKilda 2019 second round pick
St Kilda: In Laverde Out: 2019 2nd round pick
Then
Essendon In Dylan Shiel, Out 2019 First Round Pick & 2019 (Saints) second Round Pick
GWS Out Dylan SHiel in 2019 first (EFC) & Second (Saints) Round picks

Wouldn’t do it if I was CarltonAdelaide

I think all 3 teams would be happy with that? Adelaide giving up a fair bit but they get Lukosious. Carlton get 2 established guns and a couple of picks. Lions get a top 10 pick for Beams who is on the way out in the near future anyway.
Carlton might need a little extra from Brisbane. Pick 1 has some serious value this year I reckon.
Yeah fair call. Maybe the Lions could throw in a future 2nd.Wouldn’t do it if I was Carlton

Reckon Beams would be huge for a couple of years to take the load off Cripps. Maybe not at the expense of losing pick 1 though.Main concern is that McGovern to me really isn't an established gun. Promising, talented, yep. Established gun? Not quite.
While Beams, who should be an 2018 AA mid and is an absolute star, probably isn't quite in the right age bracket or injury history for us to justify using pick 1 on him.
Would love Beams but think it's probably too risky to use pick 1 on him and McGovern who both have a few too many question marks on them. I think with Carltons list we need to play it safer especially with the apparent high value some clubs are putting on the early picks this year.
Overall not a bad hypothetical in my opinion but that's just my perspective from our end of the trade - concerns more so over McGovern probably than Beams.
