They not only take it, but say thank you afterwards. Its madness.

They dont need picks 2 and 3 in all seriousness, they need a treasure chest of picks to rebuild their list. I am trying to remove my Crows bias here. But I think if they took all our 2018 picks and 1st next year for 2 and 3, they can properly start assembling a good squad. ffs We will even give them Hamish to do their picks for this year lol. :p

Think I am joking, I would seriously entertain that thought for them to not botch it up.

Again I only want 2 and 3 if our Club rates Luko and Rankine that highly. If they DONT, they lets take all our picks and rebuild our list inside a month.:rainbow:
If we are only going to have two picks just get 2 & 3 and give up 8, 13, 16 and 21. Should do it and if not throw in next years 1st rounder.

Would be great just to see the melts.

if hamish thinks they are as good as everyone thinks.. i'll do it and let him work his magic in the later rounds if needed.

Trade Radio saying Kade Kolodjashnij going to Melbourne for a pick in the 50's after being taken pick 5 in the 2013 draft.
Scrimmshaw went for less than that, using this years positions as a guide, hawthorn traded 2019 rd 3 pick (53 this year) for gold coasts 2019 4th rd pick (59 this year), pick difference is around 67 for a 2016 pick 7!

Suns will finish last next year, hawthorn may slide a little.

He's 1, maybe 2 head knocks off needing to retire from the sport altogether. Has already missed large chunks of time with concussions related symptoms. It's an extremely sad and crappy position to be in, but despite his talent he is the definition of 'damaged goods'.

However, one could argue they're better off keeping him while he's on the park, as that provides a bigger benefit than trading him for absolute peanuts...

But we might not have many spots available on our list - that may be part of the problem. Therefore as they say on the tables - “we are all in”.

Could we trade 8, 13, 16, 21 + 2019 1st to GC for 2, 3, 29 & 2019 2nd?

That leaves GC with draft picks 8, 13, 16, 19, 21 & 24 this year.

For a club that is basically starting from scratch it would give them a very good starting point. Surely with 6 picks inside the top 25 they could find some talent who want to stay there...

It would also leave us with 3 picks - Luko, Rankine and an Ogilvie special.

I'd feel much better with 3 picks than with just the 2 picks in the draft if we are giving up a load of picks. The 2019 picks would only be a small number apart.

Still more than a few clubs.

Picks can be traded up to draft night, I wouldn't expect us to do anything tomorrow either.
sad face. guess i'm just hoping we one day live up to the lofty highs of two years ago when it all went down to the wire with Gibbs first time around. that was a really fun afternoon.

We may do, theres still a lot that needs to be done. Wingard aside, every big deal has something to do with another one.

The names escape me at the moment, but I know of a couple of Crows players that we let go for compassionate reasons and allowed a smooth transfer.

I think there was a ruckman we had from Perth and Kane Johnson IIRC too as well.

The problem with being compassionate is that you know someone will exploit the system well.
We also helped a Gallagher or a Collins (can't remember) return to Melbourne due to compassionate reasons when his room mate took his own life.
