A repeat of the 1919 grand final would heal many wounds.

Let's hope that they can immediately erase the bitterness of the 2018 GF loss.

Will be a big ask though. Just not sure that the planets will align as they almost did in 2018. That was the one that got away. Playing WCE on GF day is about as good as you could hope for. Would have taken that match up at the start of the year.

I thought so too but West Coast had our measure for the season.

FWIW, I think we will be an unstoppable killing machine next year.

We played 5 Times Including in the AFLX and we only beat them in the AFLX Game

Still gutted about so many little moments in the GF to be honest.

- 1.50 to go in the first quarter score is 30-2, Langdon fails to rush a behind they kick the goal and get another before quarter time. Really hurt us.

- up 39-15 late in the second, two junk time goals again make it 39-27

- Adams snaps the ball out on the full (should’ve used his left), late in the last.

- Treloar panic kicks it to a two on one and McGovern marks and we know what happened from there..

So gutted still, I hope we bounce back next season and are healthy for the majority of it. A GF loss like that though can demoralise a group though, being so close but yet so far.

Respect your positivity. And you were very bullish at the start of 2018. I confused that with an insatiable love for Buckley(which it still might have been been, only you can answer that). Maybe I've been a Pies supporter for too long. Expect them to be brave again in 2019 but just feel that when we look back, it will be proven that the moment has passed. Naturally there is no margin for error here. Anything less than a GF win will suffice. Another honourable GF loss won't cut it which is the next best result. Gonna be tough in an ever evolving competition.

Had been playing on adrenaline for most of the back half of the season Dave, football is so often decided by momentum now mate. They had more moments of momentum than we did and got a few breaks we might of got.

Missed our chance. Not many teams bounce back after a grand final loss. I'm not optimistic about 2019.

Hawks lost a grand final and then won 3 in a row.

Eagles in 2005 lost and then came back the next year and won it.

Stkilda lost 2009 and made it back in 2010
