Our games should be played @ AAMI Park, Suits our game the best.
And the atmosphere. It looked full and like a proper football rectangular ground. Adelaide Oval just doesn't make it look good. So far away from the action, and due to being a 50k stadium, it looks half empty at times

He's not saying go and find three or four blokes from the bush and throw them in the team you ****head, he's saying go out and start academies and scholarships to try and have more indigenous players playing the sport and reaching the top level. Racist
Racist? Yeah whatever.
As far as I am aware all of the A-League teams have academies for talented youth. That would be talented youth of all skin colours.

Hopefully we get past Syria and get Honduras in the intercontinental playoffs. Panama are a defensive behemoth and the US would beat us 4-0 both games.

Panama is 3rd after today's games on 10 pts after their win, while USA drew Honduras, who are both on 9 pts.
Honduras has Costa Rica and Mexico in their last 2 games so it'll be difficult for them to get to 3rd spot esp with a -7 goal difference.
If USA could get a win vs Panama next month at home, it should be enough, with at least a draw vs Trinidad & Tobago away getting them to 13 pts.
Panama has Costa Rica at home in their final game, so perhaps a draw may be the best they could achieve, which would put them on 11 pts. Costa Rica has had only 1 loss against Mexico so far.
If we can get past Syria, regardless of form, USA would be the worst case scenario by far.

Yeah, it was a pretty ridiculous idea to play with 1 less defender with only 1 goal lead, but even if we didn't concede a goal, we still would've been 1 goal short. Probably just not meant to be since we haven't scored anymore than 2 goals throughout the whole 3rd round...

New Zealand have to beat Argentina to qualify ha ha ha ha.
I'm glad Australia got out of Oceania.
There's still a couple of games to go though so it could end up being Chile or Peru instead. Not that I'd really give them much of a chance against either, even Peru who are a well-drilled unit despite the lack of world class players. Argentina vs Peru is in the next matchday which will be decisive and, given Argentina drew with Venezuela at home this morning, it's not even close to a guarantee.

USA have been garbage almost as bad as Australia, I think they'll be more predictable and it will suite to our style to take them on.
Panama I have no idea but feel with the Ange's style of possession walking the ball in to the back of the net they'll be more then happy to park the bus frustrate us and play on the counter. Those little countries don't give a stuff about style only results.
I'll be more comfortable taking on the USA tbh least you know what your gonna get.

The national team keeps reminding me more and more of Arsenal everytime I watch them play;

- Trying to play a system without the required personnel for each specific role,
- Having great spells of possession but doing absolutely nothing with it,
- Trying to 'walk' the ball into the net, by playing 'beautiful football',
- Opposition teams easily working us out tactically,
- Opposition teams carving up our defense time and time again,
- Reluctance from the manager and coaching staff to have at least a couple of gameplans/tactics/formations,
- Persisting with the same line-ups/squad, without really looking to do something different or unexpected,
- Young players through the academy/s not showing enough potential as a whole, and the ones who do have the required potential don't get chances to show their capabilities,
- Severe problems from the board/governing body,
- Perpetually leaving fans scratching their heads at what is going on.

Now, by no means am I saying this is all doom and gloom, because I believe 100% in the lads to do it the hard way and make the World Cup; but things need to change. We've regressed as a nation in the last 12 months or so, for a number of reasons. I don't think the player quality is the main reason, this group won an Asian Cup and performed exceptionally at the last World Cup, and most of the squad are playing well at club level. It says to me (and we all know it) there is an issue with the tactical side of things.
I'm a fan of Ange, I still think he is a good coach, but surely he can see that this isn't working at the moment. Forcing any sporting team to be something they aren't will very rarely end well.
Okay he gave something a try, but it hasn't worked; so we have to go back to what we know does work and start again from there.

We're still growing as a footballing nation, I understand that full-well; but this current funk we are in needs to be remedied or more of our local rivals will pass us by

does it really matter if we qualify, i guess it would be nice, but we aint gonna do anything if we get there.
all this talk from ange that aussie coaches are as good as any in the world and we can win the world cup one day is delusional.
Financially its worth it alone. I think it's something like $10M just for qualifying in prize money! then add up the sponsorships corporate support, public interest.. etc and that's without even kicking a ball at the World Cup! all worth it for the growth of the game here despite what out results might be at the Tournament.

What is wrong with a simple 4-3-3 or something like that? This 3-2-4-1 we play at the moment is ridiculous.

We really are short on RB's and LW's though, none spring to mind.
