ESPN MEGACAST info

Alternate Presentations: MegaCast Offers Perfect Blend of Unique Camera Angles Combined with Real Time Information
Dovetailing off the main telecast will be the alternate presentations, combining those distinctive vantage points with alternate commentary, up-to-the-minute stats, analytics and more:

  • Command Center(ESPN2): A multi-angle presentation, which includes up to four different vantage points at any one time, with statistics and real-time drive charts supplementing the game action.
  • Film Room (ESPNU): Fans who want to watch the game the way coaches and players do will want to tune into the popular Film Room presentation. Tom Luginbill and Louis Riddick (Peach Bowl) and Emmanuel Acho and Bobby Carpenter (Fiesta Bowl) will operate the telestrator and break down game film in real time.
  • Skycast (ESPNEWS): The popular view from above the action and behind the offense on most plays. This unique angle has long been one of ESPN’s alternate viewing options and is readily available on multiple games every week. New this year, replays will be shown regularly throughout the presentation.
  • DataCenter (ESPN Goal Line): A perfect catch-all viewing option, as ESPN’s main telecast will be surrounded by real-time stats, analytics, social media commentary and player information.
  • All-22 (ESPN App): Watch the game the same way players and coaches study film, with a vantage point high above the field of play. The angle allows for the 22 players on the field to be seen at all times, providing the ability to distinguish how plays develop.

    • Hometown Audio Feed: Fans can listen to the local radio broadcast of each of the four teams, with their audio feed synced up with ESPN’s presentation. This MegaCast feed is made possible in conjunction with Learfield IMG College, Clemson Tigers Network powered by JMI Sports and LSU Sports Radio Network.
      • Clemson (ACC Network): Don Munson, Tim Bourret, Brad Scott, and Reggie Merriweather
      • LSU (SEC Network): Chris Blair, Doug Moreau and Gordy Rush
      • Ohio State (ESPN App): Paul Keels, Jim Lachey
      • Oklahoma (ESPN App): Toby Rowland, Teddy Lehman, Merv Johnson, Chris Plank and Gabe Ikard

Command Center (ESPN2), Skycast (ESPN App) and All-22 (ESPN App) will also be available for the Rose Bowl Game and Sugar Bowl, as ESPN provides multi-network presentations for both bowls. For the Cotton Bowl and Orange Bowl, the Skycast (ESPN App) will be available.

Has Ohio done enough to retain the top spot and set up a meeting against Oklahoma? Already some pundits calling for LSU to be bumped up to 1, which would line up Ohio with Clemson (ouch).

Let's see what the committee has in store for us.

CBS is one of the few projections to still have Ohio St at 1.

It will depend on how much the committee leaned towards Ohio St leading into the weekend. if it was close LSU jump them. if it was significant OSU hold.

I think Oklahoma would prefer LSU over Ohio St.

NY6 bowls i expect

LSU Vs Oklahoma in the Peach
Ohio st Vs Clemson in the Fiesta

Oregon Vs Wisconsin in the Rose
Baylor Vs Georgia in the Sugar
Virginia Vs Florida or Penn St [Likely Gators] in the Orange
Memphis Vs the other of Florida or Penn St in Cotton

i expect Utah to just fall miss out on the at large bid, unless the Orange bowl take Penn St and then i would take them over Florida. but dont see it happening

I the the committee will be considering what will give us 2 good semi finals, moving LSU to 1 would seem to do that. Ohio/Clemson will be a ripper

I expect rankings to be 1. LSU 2. OSU but really it is a coin flip. Clemson 3 only due to their easy schedule. 4 Oklahoma by default because who else is there? Oklahoma wil get blown out by either LSU or OSU. Alabama is better than Oklahoma without their starting QB IMO.

When does the schedule get released?

Clemson would not care who they face. They know they are going to Arizona.
Whoever finished 2 was always in trouble, even with the death kiss of #1 never winning the title.

How teams will deal with the 4 week break is always interesting, but then the 2 week break before the championship game wont hurt the winner of the 2V3 game because its an extra week rest over the last few years. i think the first year was the only one with a 10+ day rest

Alabama lost to the only 2 decent teams they played all year. and gave up 40 in both. Which is why they will end up in the citrus or Belk bowl

They lost to LSU after losing their starting QB during the game and lost by under 1 score. Played Auburn close without their starting QB. Probably win both win Tua.

You prefer to see one no defense high powered offense over another at #4. It's no big deal really.
Maybe but LSU gave up a lot of points vs Alabama so is their defense crap as well?

The Ducks would be the ideal 4. but that loss to Sparky killed that. However should the committee not punish Wisconsin too much and they stay above Penn St the Rose Bowl between Oregon and Wisconsin should be a great game and a game the Rose Bowl deserves. Nothing can ever beat the atmosphere of the Rose bowl game.

Hence my point about the sec being the big 12. You'll get offense from Oklahoma in the playoffs. No way they get shut down or are significantly worse than Bama.

No they didnt. Tua went down against Miss St.

LSU have a leaky D. they gave up points to almost everyone. and is why the committee ranked Ohio St higher the last few weeks

i wonder if the committee could reward Ohio St for playing a 9 game conference schedule. and force the SEC and ACC to stop playing cupcakes rather than the extra conference game like the Big12 and Pac-12 also do.

The sooner everyone plays a 9 game conference schedule the better. and teams should stop having a FCS team come in for a slaughter in November.
I understand the FCS teams need the money, but the NCAA could use some of the money they dont pay the players to reimburse the lower divisions, or at leas schedule them in September and not November before a rivalry game to get the extra rest.

1. LSU
2. Ohio State
3. Clemson
4. Oklahoma
Lsu to squeak by Oklahoma 38-35
Clemson to get an early jump then hold off Ohio State 42-21

Clemson win a shootouts 45-42

Yeah
Second I saw Memphis was ranked higher and hadn't heard a word about other potential bowl destinations I knew wed get Washington in Vegas

At least if we win we set a bowl record 5 wins. (Currently tied with the 4-1 Utah Utes)
