I think Oscar in,Waterman outI don't see a way in for Allen right now.
Gov/Barrass are locks and Schofield has given no reason for them to overlook him.
Won't take Branders' spot as he's not a winger.
NN/Bailey were too impressive together to overlook.
They would be reluctant to pick him ahead of Waterman, as that would be 3 KPFs (too stylistically similar) in the same team.
Waterman provides more of a point of difference .
He'll have to wait for a bit longer imo.
Fully agreeQuite surprised that a few here are preferring Waterman over Allen.
If Allen is fit he should be a lock in as third tall.
I've got nothing against Waterman, I believe next season Darling, Allen and Waterman will spearhead our forwardline and I'm fine with that.
But while JK is still in I reckon Allen offers more and it is in our best interests to keep developing him this year.
Masten had a lot of pace and made it to a lot of the stoppages,I liked him for that but when he came to getting rid of the pil that was his down fall, you just crossed your fingersSimple. We had no one else.
I have said this multiple times: Masten is the best of the worst. He is too good for WAFL but is fringe for AFL. We have been struggling for a full rotation of mids for years. Is it any surprise that once we got Kelly we dropped Masten quick smart?
With Kelly in Masten would be 100% in the WAFL. Whats the point of playing a 30 year old player in the WAFL?
And if you want an argument to authority so bad why didn't anyone pick up Masten for free this year? Even GC who want some senior players didn't touch him. I guess the other 17 AFL coaches and recruitment teams must not know better then a genius like you eh?
As of right now we have arguably the best midfield in the comp. If we have a fit NN, Shuey, Yeo, Kelly, Gaff, Sheed and Redden and we still struggle in the middle in 2020 then its not a talent problem, its a coaching one.
If this team can't make top 4 then maybe we need a bit of a shake up coaching wise.
No doubt Allen is better than Waterman, and ideally he'd be in the team.Quite surprised that a few here are preferring Waterman over Allen.
