Serious question because I don't think we can play Allen, Brander and the Snake in the same team, but could Allen not play on the wing to fit him in?
He kind of got in JK's way a lot last year playing forward.
I think JK has stated that he enjoys playing with Waterman, which is FF speak for “he doesn’t get in my way”.
Would be no different to having Hutchings, Redden and Masten in the same side pace wise but Redden is a far superior player to Hutch in terms of skill and could play the defensive mid well if we need one.
Brander is no worse than all of them mobility wise either but offers a different dynamic on a wing. If he can get the k’s up I don’t see why it won’t, at the very least, be a breakeven on Masten and Hutch.
Nuh they would play it at Lathlain to save $$$$$In front of an empty stadium because of $coronavirus$
Waterman generally plays a lot higher up the ground and he is more often than not, pretty conscious of not getting in any of his team mates leading lanes.
Think the anti QStick .
Also Waterman has a seriously good tank on him.
Watched him as a nipper at Claremont play some very handy games on the wing.
All this talk of picking Oscar before Snake is premature as OAllen hasn’t played a game yet, would need to prove his fitness level is up a there before he gets a gig.
Reckon he will have to come back via the Beagles.
Possibly they see allen as too similar to kennedy/darling with waterman that point of differenceQuite surprised that a few here are preferring Waterman over Allen.
If Allen is fit he should be a lock in as third tall.
I've got nothing against Waterman, I believe next season Darling, Allen and Waterman will spearhead our forwardline and I'm fine with that.
But while JK is still in I reckon Allen offers more and it is in our best interests to keep developing him this year.
Can redden play that defensive role? It might happen ,not sure why youd think its a lock tho. Redden is a very offensive minded, slow recieverWould be no different to having Hutchings, Redden and Masten in the same side pace wise but Redden is a far superior player to Hutch in terms of skill and could play the defensive mid well if we need one.

Probably can’t play it as well as Hutch in terms of shutting someone completely out of a game but more from the point of view, do we actually need a shut down player now?Can redden play that defensive role? I don't see a way in for Allen right now.
Gov/Barrass are locks and Schofield has given no reason for them to overlook him.
Won't take Branders' spot as he's not a winger.
NN/Bailey were too impressive together to overlook.
They would be reluctant to pick him ahead of Waterman, as that would be 3 KPFs (too stylistically similar) in the same team.
Waterman provides more of a point of difference .
He'll have to wait for a bit longer imo.
I guess i see it as weve got some awesome offensive power through the midfield a good balance is having someone in there to do the dirty workProbably can’t play it as well as Hutch in terms of shutting someone completely out of a game but more from the point of view, do we actually need a shut down player now?
Theoretically we should be destroying teams in the middle and they should be trying to stop us. We shouldn’t need to worry about a tag if we’re winning all the ball out of the middle, theoretically. So a couple of players who can run with someone is potentially all we need, Yeo and Redden are capable if we’re struggling to contain someone, with the added bonus of having all guns blazing on attack.
Don’t think we really had a dedicated tagger when Cousins, Judd and Kerr were around, maybe Selwood or Stenglein if we’re stretching, but they definitely offered a lot more than that and weren’t selected solely to do that job. Just think we need to take the opportunity to be a little more dynamic now that it’s a position of strength and try to limit the one dimensional players.
Can really see Hutch coming in for PartingtonIf Hutch plays, who comes out?
