Still miffed that the Melbourne derby is in a fairly inaccessible spot on a Thursday night. Could have played the game on a Sunday afternoon and probably get more attendees and more to watch on TV. Just bad fixturing.

Would favour Melb City to win, but they front up on Thursday after a Sunday game.

Canberra and Perth have already played each other. Perth have had a bye and are playing them for a 2nd time in Round 5.

Was going to go to the Melbourne victory versus Brisbane Roar game in Epping next Friday. But the bureau is predicting a top of 41 degrees in Melbourne. Might give it a miss.

Kick off for the Victory v Roar game is going to be right on the hottest part of the day. PFA apparently agreed to the wet bulb temperature being used to measure the safe level for playing, which means that the W League is under no compulsion to delay kick off. Bloody idiots.

Updated forecast for Friday's match between the Victory and the Roar suggests it is highly likely to be 44 degrees at kick off. Insane.

The Match has to be delayed or can’t go ahead in that case surely!

Supposedly it depends on whether the wet bulb temperature at kick off is higher than the agreed threshold in the collective bargaining agreement.

According to the policy, the decision to delay kickoff is up to the team doctor/s at the time.

Dowie running rings around Polkinghorne this morning. Brisbane dominating territory but can't find the right final ball to set up their forwards. Still 0-0 in the second half.

Finished 0-0. Dowie has a gilt edged chance to win it for Victory but shot straight at Arnold. Dumont pulled off a great double save from Yallop who had a decent penalty shout waved away.

Again, more bizarre fixturing from the W League. Send Melbourne Victory interstate and give City the bye, so no women's football in Melbourne yet again. In the meantime, it seems like every second week, the Roar is hosting a game in Brisbane.
