Hey guys, I’ve just recently moved to Perth(got stuck here during Covid and decided to stay) and I’m looking for a kick. Living in South Perth. Anyone able to tell me clubs nearest to me and what sort of competition they’re in? Played most of my footy in the second main comp in Tassie but to be honest I’m just looking for more of a casual kick and to meet some blokes and have a few beers. Cheers in advance.

I'd suggest looking at one of the clubs playing in the Perth Football League. Club list here: http://www.perthfootball.com.au/clubs/clubs

Would recommend starting to look at Curtin Uni-Wesley for you based on your location. But they won't have teams across every division (A, B, C, D, E?) So it depends on your level/standard. They are also a professional club. Mt Lawley might also be worth a look, they have teams in B-Grade. I'm less familiar with SOR teams.

Thanks mate, just got in contact with Wesley/Curtain, going to training tonight. Much appreciated.

Hope the move goes well for you Vostok.

I've got some mates who still play at the Manning Rippers and regularly get along to the games myself if you're still searching.

As for the 2019 WAFL movements for those who are unaware Cody Leggett became a Shark last week after being let go by Perth it seems.

Peel Thunder have withdrawn from the WAFL Reserves competition for 2020, cost pressures and doubt over being able to field a side have led to to the Thunder withdrawing their team for this season. The Reserves competition will be contested by eight clubs in 2020 with two clubs on a bye each week.

South Fremantle have also been granted a WAFLW license for season 2020.

Comes from Horsham and the GWV Rebels in the TAC Cup and missed the 2019 drafts.
