No team is worse at stopping the run in the league when using a stacked box on defense than Chiefs, still giving up a whopping 4.7 yards per carry when they use 8 or more players against the run.

Well like the WC and Div threads it’s all in one. If you have an article that analyses all four teams rosters you can post in one.
Also don’t have to go in and out of two threads.

Plus you disliked it so all the more reason.

Championship game threads have always been standalone.

Couldn't disagree more - good teams are good for the majority of the year - the getting hot at playoff time trope is one of the most overused in sports.

The 9 and 7 team that wins the Super Bowl is good for the majority of the year?

NFL App just popped up with “Titans perfect when Henry hits 100.” He’ll do that easily v KC unless they stack the box heavily.

Chiefs should play a 5-3 with the interior three of the five downlineman DTs, 0-3 techniques.

if Titans start going 3 and 4 wide sets, still essentially maintain a 4 DL nickel and dime

Use DBs at the LB spots on third down passing situations

gotta force the titans off early run dominance, put them in pass-happy catchup mode, prevent them dictating TOP early

You don’t think pro defensive coaches have thought and tried these types of solutions?

Last time they played the Chiefs they were behind early, Henry destroyed them in the second half.

Tannehill can hurt you if you disrespect the pass, they caught the Chiefs early with a PA to Raymond.

Play DBs in place of LBs and they can use Smith and Brown to exploit lack of size, or even on third down if Henry breaks through to second level, which teams have done many times to Chiefs DL, then good luck with those DBs trying to stop him

i havent seen a 5-3 front employed by teams in recent games where henry went over 100-150 yards.

thought about, maybe, but employ, haven't seen.

a 5-3 front wouldnt be too hard for a team like KC since they are a 4-3 team. you would put a OLB in a 3 point stance. and then put the nickle/dime DB in a ILB.

but if you dont wrap up the first level its a massive play or easy PA completion. you could even use a endaround or touch pass. unless its a wide-9 tech you will just need to seal the edge for a outside run. but if its a wide 9 than its a inside run and the OL will crash down before the widest DE's get in.
