Bendigo line gone from 1hr 50 to 3 hour journey due to track works.
Calder was down to 50 some of the way due to snow.
There ain’t many weeks the train isn’t packed out with tigers supporters, but this week is rather quiet.

Anything over 50 would be a great result. 40k would be about expected I’d think

I think anything under 50,000 would be awful.

Only recent reference I can think was is Essendon V Carlton this year. Carlton were at rock bottom about to sack their coach. Essendon outside the 8 going poorly. It drew 50,000 on a very wet day. Both sides at that point struggling in relative terms.

This has the benefit of a much better Carlton. Richmond flying. It has to be comfortably over 50,000 today.

Depends where you are. Only been a couple of light passing showers in the eastern suburbs. Hasn’t been terrible (not exactly a nice day though).
You"re turning into the Essendon version of gopies with your insecurity over Richmond. Anyway we got our 50K despite the putrid weather, transport disruptions and carpark closure.

Collingwood away game and their were Atleast 30,000 Collingwood supporters at the game. Melbourne fans should be ashamed of themselves. But then again the snow is at record levels this weekend

You have to be the most delusional poster i've ever read on bigfooty and that's saying something. So the crowd was 31,903, which is dismal; Saturday afternoon, weather wasn't too bad, only rained a little in the last qtr and you're saying the Pies had 30k of the just under 32k crowd? LOL. It was the Dees homegame and you think they only had 2K supporters there? You're sir are a goose with a capital G. You need some mental therapy.

Guess you were not at the game then?? Collingwood supporters were all saying that of Melbourne support was shocking

Should be 55,000 ish I think. Will drag the neutrals.

55,000 to 60,000

Collingwood ‘peaked’ with 63,000 against West Coast in 2012 (and drew 60,000 this year).

Only other recent example is Hawthorn’s 50,000 against West Coast in 2012.

Somewhere in between, you would imagine, would be par for course. Anything more would be exceptional

Claiming that at least 30,000 of a 31,903 crowd was Collingwood at an away game, at the MCG, against a tenant club, is nothing by gopies standards. Who can ever forget Richmond's 2017 preliminary final at the MCG against GWS, where he claimed that at least 20,000 of the 94,258 were neutrals. And thereby allowing him to argue that Collingwood's Semi-final crowd against GWS of 72,504 the following year was actually the superior turnout. Reading his posts is like reading something out of the Pyonyang Times or Pravda, but hey give him his due, he is creative!

lol, always trying to downlplay the Richmond crowds, yeh they'll be heaps of nuetrals, a whole 1k of them.
I thought it was a reasonable comment. What do you think it will draw? Big Vic club against the Eagles in a top of the table clash should draw upwards of 60,000. It will draw a sizeable neutral rollup. The AFL and MCC members areas will be reasonably well attended.

Largest West Coast crowds in Victoria, for home and away games, against Melbourne teams...

Collingwood - 62,957 (2012)
Essendon - 55,096 (1996)
Hawthorn - 50,023 (2012)
Richmond - 45,178 (2015)
St Kilda - 40,177 (2006)
Carlton - 39,611 (2009)
Melbourne - 35,653 (2005)
North Melbourne - 33,181 (2005)
Western Bulldogs - 30,900 (2007)

If you look at peak attendances West Coast is easily the 3rd (and perhaps the 2nd) highest drawing non Victorian team in Melbourne behind Sydney and perhaps Brisbane.

Certainly their Melbourne based attendances, it could be argued, are stronger then Adelaide (Rich v Adelaide drew 54,983 last year) despite the perception that SA teams are great travellers.

What I am interested in is which game out of Richmond v West Coast and Richmond v Brisbane draws the larger crowd
