Would have preferred trading down over Stephens, he might well be a good player but higher bust potential than McCasey, Young and Serong IMO- can't see how he's better than getting Kemp and another first rounder tbh.

Like it, SA boy so he is a zero flight risk.

Would have been great if Carlton had provided 9 for Papley and we could have taken Kemp.

Add that to Gulden and Campbell next year and we have a very good mix in the midfield for 10 years.

Very happy with that selection at five. I like that he has already played against men. Mattner may have had a hand in the assessment. I like that we have a mid. Big need answered. Big tick. I would have gambled with Kemp....but I accept that rehab for a young bloke does not develop the close ties that he will need to develop.
