Anyone else as little convinced about Port as i am?

Theyve won 5 games. Only 1 was a good win beating eagles at Optus off a derby win.

Other than that theyve beaten Melbourne, North, Blues and Gold Coast of which both North and blues were at Adelaide and by less than 16 pt wins.

I think if they beat Hawks this week they probably play finals as im struggling to find anyone good in the bottom 10. I think Hawks and Sydney the threats.

Im not sure i can see them beating hawks in tassie even with R.Gray back. Hawks have lost Big boy but gained Frawley and Wingard with a chip on his shoulder

Am i too harsh on the power here?

Probably a little - they flogged the Eagles in WA (#noexcuses) and beat the Suns easily - that's a couple of good wins. They should easily make finals. This is a big 8 point game against the Hawks and has a huge impact on both teams finals aspirations (especially if Port wins - they'll have a 2 game + % break over the Hawks)

Sydney are a genuine bottom 4 side and are no threat to get anywhere near finals - I expect Port to account for them easily whenever they play.

Aren’t hawthorn in the same boat though.
Fell in against Carlton by 5 points and north by 16 points.
Only beat GWS because it was at the MCG?

$50 R.Gray O24.5 disp @3.25 SB

With Atley taken out of the side hes been replaced by R.Gray which i suspect means midfield time with Rozee, Butters, S.Gray, Farrell, Motlop still in the side as small fwds
Good shout. Not sure how much Wines' presence impacted his role but 23 and 27 in the first two rounds without him.

Share the same thoughts. Beaten 4 weaker teams but that was with a better squad than they have currently with key players Wines, Ebert, Lycett and Burton missing which gives them a pretty inexperienced and weak squad.

Hawks actually have a fair bit of talent on each line but have been inconsistent and have had 3 games impacted by multiple in-game injuries. Hard to get a read on them but I have them as a better team than Port with good HGA so that's who i'll be backing.

Forecast looks like rain and wind - who will this help and is unders an option here as it's an important game so should be a fair bit of contested footy.

Would you be surprised if North won though? I definitely wouldn't. Dogs have had a few good wins but this is a pretty even matchup IMO
Last 4 games have been won by 7 or fewer points (WB 3 vs 1).

But really for such a low line surely WB look the better team? Impressed they gutted out a good win vs Bris and were close in the 4th vs Geel at Skilled. NM ended up giving a big start to Syd with a very average forward line at a ground where they are normally very good. Really they have shown virtually nothing all season.

Swans have beaten North all 3 times at Hobart. So not a real surprise. Roos will be close or win IMO against Scraggers.

Definitely the better team and should be favorites no doubt. Not much value in this game IMO but it's just an opinion....

Beaten Adelaide and GWS who both sit top 6/7

and playing at home

Have also lost 2 games by 5 points admittingly to weak sides and also had dogs on ropes barring last 8 goals of the game to dogs
