Sheppard definitely should have made it, but that would mean 5 Eagles making the team. Only Victorian teams are allowed to have more than 4 players from the 1 club.

Also McGovern was outstanding again this year. Hes a victim of his own unbelievable standards. Happy to see him make it just to stick it up Gary wife stealing scum Lyon.

Got to agree with this, based on pure output it's Ben Brown by a mile. Hawkins inclusion was like Selwoods inclusion of 2017*(I think). Real howler

Also, Gov had a great year, just not his best. He's the best intercept player in the competition again. Teams plan their entire forward 50 entry around negating McGovern. He's in a category entirely of his own, there is simply no other player like him.

Four All-Australians in a row. The guy is a freak and we all know how the selectors love to reward the 'premier' defender with consecutive AAs. Before Gov it was Rance, before him it was Glass/Scarlett.
