Reid’s not worth much but to a dud side who need a key forward he could be. Both he and Cunningham wouldn’t get us anyone of note, but they could get us players we could turn into stars. It’s what we used to do best.
I also don’t see how Cunningham is needed badly. I like him and respect that he fully revived a career that was looking kinda suspect, but he is not that important, he doesn’t have enough of an impact whether he’s in or out of the team.
I personally think we would be prepared to move Harry on. He is very replaceable & would be a great get for Gold Coast IMO, reuniting with Dew & Francou. Can't see Harry moving to Vic.

Why would he want to go if he is the captain of our club and has his family here? We would have to give him his marching orders. It would be a tough call for a legend of the club but one I'd be supportive of after seeing how Reg, Smith, Jack etc have played out in recent years.

i dont think he'll last till 2021. not sure his contract status but probably only good for 1 more season

to me its one of those situations where he is a champion of the club and deserves the respect to choose when he goes out and how, much like Goodes. if Kennedy wants to cash in or help develop another club then i wish him all the best and we make the most of the situation, but if he wants to stick it out at the swans for another year or two and be remembered as a swans legend then im all for that too. but he does so knowing full well that if he gets pushed out of the team and has to play NEAFL then thats how it is.

I was all for the respect and good faith line, until I saw where it's landed us. With multiple veterans who have stayed around on longer contracts that didn't match their output. Jack is a prime example. Champ of our club but his last few years have been a massive waste of time and done nothing for him or the club. We've basically punished ourselves for our loyalty. Instead of having Jack running around in the NEAFL, McVeigh always on the injury list, Kennedy looking half-baked, Grundy having to retire mid-season and Smith on the LTI, that's five players we could have moved on sooner and replaced with younger, fitter players who could contribute to us right now. We just seem to have a knack of not preparing for inevitable problems until they arrive at our doorstep and we're left with no options.
Cunningham is unrestricted free agent so a trade won’t occur.
Reid has value a few clubs would be interested.
Kennedy is like a Hodge/Mitchell type won’t get much.
