My concern with Fish is his seeming lack of competitiveness. Does he want the hard ball? Has he shown it in the SANFL?

In his early trial games he looked a likely type

Crashing packs up forward, attacking the ball in the air. Looked like he'd develop into an imposing type. Have seen less and less of that attitude from him sadly except for the odd glimpse

If he gets his sh*t together he will be a Star, He has a bit more football about him than Butts, who is a very good defender. If I remember correctly there were a few on here knocking Butts as well.
Just need to watch MacAsey's SANFL games and how he positions himself, where he runs to, to see how good he reads the game I liken him to Doedee in his early years a lot of supporters were righting him off as well

There were a stack that wrote him off from the start, and only became more vocal when he was slowly developing in the SANFL.

There were several people on BF who were not happy with Both Selections, and even during SANFL games, there were some who raised concerns about their selection.
Also Do you think BF is the only football site, that comment on the Crows Footballers?

selections yes, but that's not the same as writing off the player. It's a judgement against price paid, not whether they'll make a decent player. Marty the obvious example who went insane but that was because he wanted Burton at that pick. He'd have not batted an eyelid had we taken Dood 10 picks later. With Fish there were ? as to whether 6 was too high and there's quite a few that reckon you don't need to pay high draft picks to get good quality KPDs. These are not writing off players, these are questioning purchase price.

Re Macasey he needs time, if he gets his head clear he will be a great footballer.

Jones was drafted as a high end midfielder... he's currently showing signs he can be a role player at half back a role many many other half capable players can do.

Huge amounts of time and money is invested in recruiting. Getting a top 10 picks wrong is inexcusable.. either through the picked player or maximising the pick value to make trades.
