I feel like (after the impossible dream of McAsey) Weightman is the name I'd be most excited to hear. I don't really know why, Pickett is an excitement machine, Bergman is a great fit, Kemp would be an amazing get, and I do rate Sharp. For some reason though I think I want Weightman most right now.

So far I don't think Sharp has an invite to the draft, though it seems like not many do.
So can the bont play those positions with easeBeen compared to Bont but can also play forward or back.
Small pressure forward or bust
Matt Balmer, the age and Twomey all have us taking weightman. Weightman it is then.
Looking quite certain... I dont mind it, when was the last time we picked an outstanding junior small forward?Matt Balmer, the age and Twomey all have us taking weightman. Weightman it is then.
I know Weightman’s meant to have a nice leap on him but how’s his speed / agility / goal nous / aggression? He reminds me of McLean, who played mostly as a small forward in the juniors until the later parts of his draft year but can’t seem to find a way to be as exciting and dangerous as a small forward at AFL level.
This is what’s putting me off. McLean took one of the biggest screamers in the TAC and he is yet to pull one down or even really attempt to these days.

They interviewed Weightman on the AFL Draft Countdown on the AFL App.
He sounded like a cracking guy. Would be rapt if that is who we end up with. He sounds very down to earth and openly admits to being an absolute footy nut and lives and breathes the game. He said he is a bit of a student of the game so must have a high footy IQ so to speak.
He reminded me quite a bit of Bailey Smith in terms of character and was really engaging, probably even more so than Bailey was. He certainly has a bit of personality and I think the fans will absolutely love him, particularly if he ends up being a consistent goal kicker. Given how poorly we often convert our goal opportunities I’m not surprised the club are choosing to go for a goal kicking small forward who can play around the good batch of tall forwards that we now have.
He also said that pretty much the Dogs have been the main team that he has spent the most time with pre draft and have put the most effort into him. He sounded pretty certain that he was heading to the Bulldogs.[emoji16]
I'm sold, get him in and give him number 42 and let the fun begin.....As I’ve mentioned a number of times over the past few weeks guys we will enjoy weightman grab a beer and celebrate this kid is the best forward in the draft. Melbourne will absolutely regret not taking him at 10(which was the reason the got in another pick in the first round this year anyway) will be fantastic to get him at 13 guys. Will light up the crowds. Will sit on blokes heads and kick goals.

Weightman looks like this years Jack Higgins as they are quite similar in a lot of ways.
They look like entirely different players. The only similarities is the size/build.Weightman looks like this years Jack Higgins as they are quite similar in a lot of ways.
I have heard that, from someone who would know.I was turned off Sharp a bit by the reports that he played for himself more than for the team (or something to that effect). Anyone recall that?
So Higgins isn’t a good mark or good around goal..???Guys, FWIW he is nothing like Jack Higgans Cody is very strong overhead something Jack Higgans isn't. Cody is extremely good around goals as we know.
Weightman is an elite small forward, Not just a pressure forward. Weightman plays alot taller than hes actual size and is a threat in the air. Higgans is a high pressure forward.
