I think we’ve seen the results of playing mids as forwards, when we finally played forwards forward our team was massively better last year and weightman gives us a natural small forward not a natural mid trying to be a small forward.

Also why can’t both play a role there? Dickson is all but done, Lloyd was good this year but isn’t young, so why can’t we have west weightman and dale up there amongst the three talls
If the doggies were in on weightman, were does that leave cavarra and greene. Should we have traded them for currency?

Happy with this pick-up - noticed tackle stats are poor - any concern here given the need for this as a small forward?

I think with the advantages of time and entering an AFL environment, there’s no need to be concerned about any of his stats right now [emoji1360]

Wow Robertson slips through to tomorrow night.

are you telling me we have to come back for this shite tomorrow??? Is it the draftees bedtime or something? Or are the AFL milking this like a herd of Jerseys? Typical.

He's not quite as low pressure as that stat might suggest. Does less of the hard crash and bash stuff but still provides plenty of pressure by chasing and looking to read and cut off plays. Some of his highlights from his draft video showed real desperation to win the ball back.

you need forward depth? We currently have dale Lloyd Dickson Greene and cavarra as natural mid-small forwards on our list.

as I said before Dickson has 1 year left if that, Lloyd is 30 (I believe) green has shown some good signs but has been injury prone and is only contracted for next year plus he is a marking mid size forward like dale. Cavarra struggled to get on the park and is only contracted for next year.

so of our current mid-small forwards 2 are best 22 Lloyd and dale, 1 will be off the list by end of next year dickson, and two that are unproven and could be gone at the end of next year. The pick makes complete sense even if we have those players on the list as none have all the traits weightman has.

Haha stop making sense, you’ll get yelled at for it!!

Unless we do an unexpected trade we're not going to get any of the following, but there are some handy players still up for grabs.

Of the remainder I'd really fancy drafting one of Josh Worrell, Elijah Taylor, Trent Rivers, Trent Bianco, Deven Robertson and maybe even Jeremy Sharp.

Looks like reasonable quality will last down to pick 30 if not later.

Sounds like a few decent key defenders are still left and could slide right down.

I wonder if we will look at any mature aged players.

How many rookie spots do we have?
