Don't tell Mofra you didn't take him...Elijah Taylor was still on the board and it was extremely tempting to take him.

Mcasey. Clearly a step above the others.Ok, it's draft night and Rivers, Weightman, Gould, Bergman and McAsey (sp?) somehow are all available.
Who would you pick and why?

Two players from group 5 interesting, Taylor/Cahill group 3 & 4.Good picks, fill needs for us
Surprised you rate Cahill above Pickett. I rate both, but if given the choice between the two I'd go Pickett every time. Can't go wrong with whichever is available thoughTwo players from group 5 interesting, Taylor/Cahill group 3 & 4.
Do you remember the lad who played small forward for Port at 170 cm, Jake Neade oh the x-factor tell meSurprised you rate Cahill above Pickett. I rate both, but if given the choice between the two I'd go Pickett every time. Can't go wrong with whichever is available though
So you rate the aggro of Cahill over X-factor of Pickett? I like Cahill as the Dahlhaus type, just think Pickett also fills the indigenous need on our list at the same time as looking like having a huge ceilingDo you remember the lad who played small forward for Port at 170 cm, Jake Neade oh the x-factor tell me
where does he play now ?
Actually listened to an interview with Darren Flannigan from the stingrays and he rated Weightman and CahillSo you rate the aggro of Cahill over X-factor of Pickett? I'd be very happy with McAsey at 13 and Cahill at 53 if the opportunities were thereActually listened to an interview with Darren Flannigan from the stingrays and he rated Weightman and Cahill
very similar with Cahill playing higher up the ground and having a great work rate. Small forward deep can be
a Bermuda triangle as a 170 cm man at times.
Surely Cahill won't fall that far?I'd be very happy with McAsey at 13 and Cahill at 53 if the opportunities were there
Depends which team has the picks, groups 4, 5 and 6 can be interchanged easily based on needs.Surely Cahill won't fall that far?
I see him consistently rated as a 3rd or 4th rounder. It's possible, but we'd be pretty luckySurely Cahill won't fall that far?
He could be a Naughton type.Ok, it's draft night and Rivers, Weightman, Gould, Bergman and McAsey (sp?) somehow are all available at pick #13.

Who would you pick and why?
McAsey as he is quality KPP and the guys we have added in Keath & Bruce have a few good years left. So we can develop McAsey as the replacement instead of rushing him in before he would be readyOk, it's draft night and Rivers, Weightman, Gould, Bergman and McAsey (sp?) somehow are all available at pick #13.
Who would you pick and why?
Plays more like Alex Keath, eventually there may be a "Naughton type", but not many are the number oneHe could be a Naughton type.
Good kick and fitness levels but surely Timmy is too old to make the switchSurely Cahill won't fall that far?

McAsey and it's not even close, easily he is the best available pick for the dogs and as a massive fan it would be super easy to sign him long term.Ok, it's draft night and Rivers, Weightman, Gould, Bergman and McAsey (sp?) somehow are all available at pick #13.

Wonder if we’ll try to trade up at any point with our 2020 first rounder![]()
I have wondered this.
how important is it into hold on to our first rounder next year? surely we can get the points for Marra etc with trading in future (2022) picks.
the next question is, who is worth trading up for in this draft?
IMO there isn’t anyone outside the top 3 worth trading up for. Hold the pick or trade back for future picks.
This year there are few good options at the top end. Next year the best options are probably academy.
2021 is another big year of FS for us.... I don’t think trading future picks is going to be a good idea for us.
