Marcus Bontempelli:

2019: Inside 50- 123, Rebound 50- 48
2018: Inside 50- 86, Rebound 50- 26
2017: Inside 50- 92, Rebound 50- 28
2016: Inside 50- 108, Rebound 50- 30
2015: Inside 50- 105, Rebound 50- 28
2014: Inside 50- 67, Rebound 50- 17

Those stats need to be backed up by a sexy graph and some percentages, but visually a heat map is
emerging inside the vast expanses of my brain that suggests his role is seen primarily ahead of the ball.

Good stats but they only reflect his roaming commission (which is any where forward of the d50 arc) not the way he goes about it.

One can execute defensive skills anywhere on the ground and that was my point (and my question regarding Bergman). Stefoid’s links show he averages 5 tackles a game which is above average and definitely getting his hands dirty.

Port and Brisbane have traded picks, Port now have 12, 16 and 18. Ports future first involved plus some other bits and bobs.
I wonder if Port would be interested in trading further up the draft? Or getting back into the first round next year?

Say Port give up 16, 18, their 2020 2nd rounder and St.Kildas 2020 3rd round pick for 13, 53, our 2020 first and some late junk picks.

Gives us say Bergman and Pickett plus a possible little points boost for Marra - Gives them maybe Stephens and McAsey and a 2020 1st.

...maybe weighted a little too far in our favour

Hope his nickname is not ‘Ingrid’... or ‘Ingmar’.
Play it, Sam. Play the Bulldogs Song...

Pressure and speed up forward is our biggest need in this draft imho. Just look at the games we played Libba up fwd for examples.

Second i would argue midfield/wing skill.

Third would be key defender.

All decent holes in our list. What gaps are filled on draft night are relative to who is left on the board at our picks.

I say it every year but this is an important draft for us.

A good thing about Bergman is that he can play both forward and wing, and he's got pace. Bergman and someone like Hilder or Kelly would be good.

He can, the question for me is he a viable full term wing at afl level?

He doesn’t look like a natural wingman so not sure why the experts have signalled that. Maybe he’s just played that position at times in the TAC Cup.

Personally I think he’s looked at home at either end of the ground with some decent games playing in defence as opposed to on a wing

Knightmare sees him playing out of defence as well.

What was his endurance testing like at the draft combine like? If he has good endurance with that slicing kick could be a great fit on the opposite wing to Hunter.
Wouldn't need massive production to have a massive impact for us with all our marking targets up forward now

Not “So Cool”?
People can be cruel.
"So Cool", gee wish I had thought of that one, but I am a cruel bastard with a warped sense of humour.
