i do not understand the need for bergman when we have Greene and Dale in our side already. Surely Pickett is the one we take at our first pick with a small forward we so very much crave. We missed on martin and AMT. surely its a no brainier.
Bergman the winger maybe, but agree Bergman the forward doesn’t seem an obvious need with JUH next year also adding to our tall/mid forward stocks. Bergman does tackle and apply great pressure for his size though.

According to Fox Footy, we can't trade our 2020 pick since we don't have a 2020 second round Pick
We would be able to if we received a second rounder back under the rules as i understand them. That would give us picks in rounds 2, 3 and 4 which meets the pick requirements.

Depending on who's available on the night, I'd be totally open to trading down on the night for a deal involving a future pick.

It seems to me that teams can be pretty generous with what they'll offer.

North just traded out their 2020 2nd (likely early 20s) and 50 and 73, just to get pick 30.

If somebody offers us a pick downgrade of 5-10 picks and something in the first 2 rounds next year, I think it may be a good play long term

If someone we really love is still there at 15, by all means take the pick, but otherwise it feels like our position is pretty strong and therer are great opportunities out there to only strengthen it.

TBH I'm not excited with Bianco as a prospect for us. 176cm mid or rebounding defender, unless he can develop into an elite wingman it just doesn't excite me.
A lot of bullet like passes inside 50 to Ugle-Hagan were Bianco's speciality Mofra, nipple bruising bullet like
passes. Only Young and Bianco have the gift.

It surprises me a little that we are interviewing these guys (Bianco, Weightman) so late. Do we think these would be follow up interviews, or are these players who are just entering the equation as the landscape changes?

I’d guess both, Weightman follow up and Bianco maybe a change of landscape including a trade.

Do you reckon Bianco has the kind of athletic profile/tank to play wing at AFL level?
Yes easily, he would thrive in any outside role and despite his size can win his own ball, but his ball use is
what makes him stand out along with his footy IQ. He did his academy training stint at Collingwood and
impressed them highly.

Good points. Being made Captain at Oakleigh ahead of Rowell and Anderson speaks volumes about his strong character and leadership qualities also.

Sometimes clubs can be guilty of looking for the superstar of the draft over someone who can be a no risk good quality, solid contributor.

Follow-up. Some draftees would get interviewed three or four times in the lead-up to the draft. These interviews would just be tidying up a few things and getting last bits of info for the club to assess the players and where they fit on the talent list. Possibly also probing them about other clubs who have talked to them etc.

He impressed me greatly in the Grand Final

Just saw the article about it. So Cody Weightman it is then?
Not really. He'd be one of a few to have toured our facilities. Clubs interview a few players, then break it down and re interview a smaller group, then show a couple around. It does point to Weightman strongly being in the running for pick 13 and the more likely pick at this stage, but I wouldn't say its 100 percent set.
